Not necessarily! Around the parimiters of the Villages I doubt that the developer ownes all the properties. Even within, if you check the ownership on the assessors websites of commercial lots, the ownership of several are other than the developer or are the holdings of the developer that are difficult to identify.

I really miss the christmas tree shops

The BEST Italian (family-owned restaurant in the world......The Chateau in Waltham, MA <drool>

And what about a cosy Swiss restaurant with cheese specialities like fondue and raclette and delicious chocolate desserts?

Things we need in the Villages

Just bought my new home in Buttonwood...I would love top see a 4 wall racketball court, a staem sauna, and hot tub pool area, and I too love the xmas tree stores as well, and who can say no to an Irish pub.

NYC, NY, ( Manhattan ), Bayridge Brooklyn, Eastern Pa, Bergen County NJ, and now Buttowood in the Villages....

What does the Villages need?

I vote for a Cheesecake Factory or I'll go along with a bakery. Love those sweets! (I don't even live here yet!)

"Beach" with Wave Machine

Before I elaborate, yes, "Trader Joe's" Love that place, we are from VA and shopped TJ weekly.
Back to that man made beach with wave machine. If such a venue were constructed close to TV, (but not inside the buble) it would provide an easy alternative to driving all the way to Orlando, and be a draw for people of all ages. While there already is the huge venue in Orlando, a wave park more modest in size/scope would provide another dimenson to TV without actually being "in" TV. For those of us who no longer drive a car, the finishing touch to the park would be a shuttle service...to and from tV. I like to think big. LOL>
