I agree it’s a poor worded and confusing statement. Like that great philosopher once said, “it’s not over until it’s over”.

Fla and especially The Villages were late to the "party" we didnt start shutting down things till after March 15th and we havent been good at staying home or social distancing plus masks and gloves havent been mandatory - so in a community of 100,000-ish high risk residents we had 78 cases as of May 4th (the day before Phase 1 Opening) and the tri-county area (pop. 845,000) had 652 cases and 32 deaths. Now 25 days later The Villages has 82 cases while the tri-county area now has 787 cases and 37 deaths – those cases are lower than a “normal” flu season – BTW Sumter Cty’s 233 cases – 121 are at the prison

Ok which one of you was the English school teacher? Otherwise was that really necessary?

It's an age-old refrain on here that needs to be abandoned, along with correction of the spelling of Morse and Fenney.:faint:

I just got an email from the Districtgov.org folks. They say, “ As the majority of recreational facilities are now open, this will be the last COVID-19 District Action Plan.” There are no significant changes that I can see.

In any event, the facilities are open but not fully functional. Pickleball is only half the courts, Softball is for practice only. So how can this be the last plan? Shouldn’t the last plan be that everything is fully open, or it’s not the last plan?

What gives? How can we fix this?

8th June. Maybe the next outdoor phase? Noticed all tennis nets up at local rec center today?

Guessing we won't get Market night back any time soon, if at all.

Good news is that Christmas tree lighting celebrations will be April 1st 2021.

Even if we get a vaccine, only 50% of people say they will get it. So, what are we waiting for? Oh, Christmas in April!!

It is too bad that an individual decision leads to consequences for many. If this virus weren’t so contagious people could just take a chance and suffer the consequences of their choices which would be ok with everyone. Unfortunately, if you engage in high risk behavior and get it, then you risk passing it onto others since you don’t have to have symptoms to be contagious.

We accept those who died and do the best we can to put our lives back together. I'm not going to live in fear of death

You may not be happy to know that the federal government has the authority to physically stick a needle into your arm and give you a vaccine shot.

Don’t confuse getting the virus from dying from the virus. Sad as it is, a tiny fraction of the people who get the virus die from it. The mortality rate among healthy people under age 60 is almost zero.

We have always quarantined the sick. This is the first time in human history that we have quarantined the healthy. There is no reason to keep the country shut down. If you are in a high risk group it makes sense to be cautious.

Opening the country does not mean everyone has to participate.

A vaccine is just around the corner, listen to me please. This will soon go away, but you need to relax shhh close your eyes and relax.

Now I want you to take a drive go to the beach, get take out and relax.

Put on a Barry Manilow CD.

The last vaccine took 4 years. There is none for malaria.
