We spent 12 years in Colony Park and 11 years before in South Temple! Currently living in Fenwick Island, Delaware and have a house in Charlotte!

Born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. Moved to Chicago in 1979, and I lived in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the far north side of Chicago while attending Loyola University. Then in 1985 made the great leap to the N.W. suburbs of Chicago: Prospect Heights, Palatine, Hoffman Estates and finally Schaumburg. I am praying the next stop is The Villages. :pray:

Oh, Peggy, you are so lucky. I can drive to Palatine this winter (Palatine is so close to my office) and retrieve some Palatine snow and ice for you as I know you will be missing it. For a small fee I will personally deliver it to your home in The Villages. LOL.

If you look at the board that posts the newest Villagers in the Lake Sumter Landing sales office, you'd believe that. But, I have to wonder if many of these people came from outside the state to some other Florida location and then on to the Villages from there.

We are both from Poquoson, VA (Po-co-sun). It is located between Langley Air Force Base and Yorktown, and about 1.5 hrs from Richmond. We bought in December '12 and brought the last load in the door July 2!! I am full time and husband retires in December.

My husband Kay grew up in Los Angeles. Since then he has lived in Seattle, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, Fresno, and then South Florida where he met me!
I grew up in Plainfield and Basking Ridge, NJ, then Smyrna, Ga and then spent 38 years in South Florida until moving to The Village of Sanibel this past October.

We love it here!
