Your link did not mention costs or how it would be paid. This is what the OP was asking. If it has been discussed for several years then can you enlighten us on the cost and who will pay.

If the District had your email (so that you would receive the district weekly newsletter and hurricane updates), you would have received the survey when it was emailed a few weeks ago. I received it. It’s already been tabulated.

I am sorry if you missed the opportunity to offer your desires for the new Recreation center. It was available for quite some time. It was online out it could be picked up at Paradise or Hacienda rec centers.
It just asked about your preference for pool design, activities you prefer inside and out and for comment.

The results came out this week.
A free form resort style pool, tabletop shuffleboard and corn hole.

There was an article about the survey results on the front page of the Daily Sun on Thursday, Nov. 10.

I got to many other things to worry about. And most people don't care who is paying for it. It is what it is. It easy. Call them and ask. Their answer is as good as anybody will give you here. The big worry is if your going to be alive tomorrow, what golf course is open tomorrow, what restaurant will i be eating at. You know the big worries.

I don't get the Daily Sun. And an article about the /results/ of it would not have helped me when the survey was first sent out, before there existed any results.

Where I come from (yep) - if the town needed to inform everyone about something, they'd mail out a flyer. It wasn't up to the resident to think "oh I should check every day to make sure I don't miss something important." It was the town's responsibility to inform its citizens.

Posting a big notice on the postal station board might've helped but I don't recall seeing one there either.

Those days are pretty much gone....even the small town I lived in stopped doing any direct mailings years ago, labor, printing costs, postage made it prohibitive. They went to a web page only. At least here, you get emails plus an easy to navigate website. It is now up to the residents.....we can choose to play or not.

I just signed up for AAC and VCCDD notifications. I've been to that website a few dozen times in the past three years and never noticed the option. Usually because I was looking for something specific. Thanks!
