Ouch! So true! But I don't eat a plant based diet. The closest I came was when my Nana would send me out to pick dandelions so she could make dandelion salad. Bitter, bitter, bitter! So that is why I shun plant based diets. That and the fact there are no, nada, true scientific double blinded studies in reputable scientific journals that support the hypothesis that they make a hill of beans difference. A person's genetic background has more influence. And....everything in moderation. Hooyaa!

Publix for the fresh bread and the $40 for a $50 gas card, Winn Dixie and Publix for the BOGOS, Target for pet food specials with gift cards and layering coupons with the Cartwheel app, Aldi for the ease of shopping and all the basics, Walmart when I have a bunch of assorted items to buy. I look at shopping as a sport.

Jiminies! Doesn't that take up a lot of time? More importantly, WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR MAYONNAISE?!? LOL!

Bonny 06-04-2015 08:43 PM

Wow, 10 pages pretty much about mayonnaise. Who woulda thunk ! :a20:

Wandatime 06-04-2015 08:55 PM

This probably costs like, what, $.50?

I think I am being converted from Hellmanns to Dukes.

I don't know what my ancestors are thinkin'.

I love the stuff that looks like Mayonnaise and tastes of garlic and they serve on green beans in France.

I never could figure out what they called it. It sounded like "eye".

Yes, but remember, shopping is a sport for me. As for mayonnaise: the only way to have wonderful mayonnaise is to make it.

Aioli, Gracie. Also easy to make.

How about Miracle Whip? <ducks>

Wandatime 06-04-2015 09:22 PM

Okay, pbkmaine, you need to invite us over and show us how to make mayonnaise and aioli.

What I love about TOTV is that a thread start can go in one of a thousand different directions, depending on the energy, enthusiasm and wit of the posters. This one did start as a cost question and could have been continued with posts about economics, politics, world order, the dollar versus the euro, labor costs, and a thousand different things. But no, we made it all about crazy mayo, and I love it!

You could call it a Mayo Clinic.

Yes, Blue Plate is made with egg yolks, not whole eggs like the rest. That's how it should be.
