There should be rule for Electric only golf carts and only well trained and quiet dogs in The Villages.

I could think of a few rules that would help this forum...

It wasn't intended to be humorous right up until the OP realized that there was not the support for the post that was expected. Happens all the time here. People make a post thinking that they will get a ton of "I agree" replies. When they don't, they backtrack and say they were joking.
Which begs the question, why are people looking for "likes" from total strangers on a message board? It is a popular past time for half a dozen posters here, given some of the post counts.

When you say "out side", do you mean in an enclosed backyard, or just roaming the streets out front?

Noise pollution. What possible enjoyment can anyone get from owning a dog that never shuts up? No I'm not a dog hater. What I hate is this:

This is what I hear every single time I walk outside my house. My neighbor apparently leaves their dogs outside all day and they literally never stop barking. (CYV) itโ€™s beyond ridiculous. I have 2 dogs myself but would never leave them outside barking nonstop. As for golf carts, I was behind someone blasting music that wasnโ€™t my taste and pulled over to let them get ahead of me. Easy fix to that problem.

For the barkers, toss a firecracker over the wall.
For the Musick lover, strap a large amplifier to the golf rack aiming backwards. Play March music at full volume. Should drown them out and even give you a push. Problems solved. You're welcome. ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™‰

Honestly, NOT trying to disparage you or your comment AT ALL, I can only imagine what that was like. Personally, unless I was close to my tee time, I'd have pulled off to the side just long enough to allow more space (or a couple other carts) to pass, and then continue rather than listen to that. But it IS OUTSIDE, perhaps the dog does not do that constantly at home, just the "exhilaration" of riding "open air" ? I kind of liken that to the many times I've stopped at a red light and had my auto actually vibrate from the "music" of the auto stopped next to me. Think what it takes to vibrate a 3500 to 4000 pound vehicle ! ! Think what it must be like to be INSIDE a vehicle where the "music" is that loud ? Personally I don't care for the loud blasting radios in open golf carts either, but it part of life as long as we all have our personal preferences I guess !

Absolutely 100% agree. No different than tying to enjoy relaxing on a lounge chair at a pool enjoying a new book and the person(s) on the next chair(s) are literally SCREAMING into a cell phone having a conversation with details you'd definitely prefer NOT to hear. You simply look around for an empty lounge or chair and move if you suspect these conversations are going to go on for an extended time. You simply can not control the behavior of others in public settings ! Same in a restaurant, I would not hesitate to ask (is there was space) to move to different table if a large table of loud, raucous, drunks were ruining the meal out !

Totally agree, LOL, but yes, there are as many public behaviors as there are types of people, and many many well meaning people who actually are NOT aware of how their behavior is perceived by those around them, so yes, worry about those souls suffering so greatly in places all over the globe... have a neighbor who puts their dog in the screened lanai, all the dog does is yip, yip, the entire day. It has both food and water, but until the owner gets home, everyone else has to keep their sliders and windows shut. Just the way it is, the dog is not running around loose, so not much can be done really... who is going to sue a neighbor over a dog that is kept in their own home's porch !

I think it difficult (or impossible) to do much about it unless the dog is running loose with no leash.

Yes, in Waikiki they used โ€œBabySharkโ€ on continuous loop to discourage squatters etc.The โ€œwrongโ€ type of music can have a powerful effect.

The firecracker works well on drunks, but I think it would just frighten the already unhappy dogs.
