I reluctantly started out with Comcast. I had to fire them in less than a month. A contractor cut the cable and it was out for 2 weeks before someone came to fix it. I also had internet connection problems that took them a week to straighten out. So, for 3 out of 4 weeks I had problems.

I bundled Direct TV and Embarq. It's working well for me. I don't use the land line phone and I hope someone will offer straight internet in the future.

I'm new to TV (just under 2 months) and live in St. Charles.

I am new also. I am in Liberty Park. I am only here part time presently.
Enjoying a week now. I am using Embarq for my internet and comcast for the TV. I thought Embarq was Dish network only. If they offer Direct TV I will have to check it out next year.

I'd be interested in what speed you have on internet. Also, how many channels on TV. It seems odd that I see so many folks with different plans on Comcast that have such disparate charges. I have 100 internet speed, (which sucks) and whatever TV plan they offer that gives you up to 99 channels (analog) and am paying $108 a month. (No land line)
I'm considering dumping Comcast (p.s.- I'm now on my third box - and have been here just over 2 months) and going with a dish. But without a land line - what do I do about internet?
