The bounty was placed in 2012 while they demonstrated with Al Sharpton.

I reviewed my responses and will stick with them at this point, although I also question posting something that old and the motivation behind it.

What you will see over time is the slow cannonization of Martin...we will have the TRAVON MARTIN law.....TRAVON MARTIN rally for (fill in the blank).....and on and on...there already have been songs for him, etc. I did not know the kid, I am not a judge of him, but how he became a hero and Zimmerman a monster is baffling. They both made mistakes, but we concentrate on what is the best political position.

I hate it that a young man of any color is dead. But this, beginning with the hijacking of the case AT THE VERY HIGHEST LEVELS OF THE LAND, has become an example of the forces at work in this country.

Read the posts today.....no criticism of the behavior, but the governor instead for not saying something about it. Seems we are a bit upside down in this country right now.

Think back on his involvement with Professor Gates, his words concerning Trayvon Martin. consider his appointments such as Eric Holder who has used the DOJ as his personal forum for black causes and has vowed to investigate the injustice resulting from the Zimmerman trial.

Georg Zimmerman had black friends dated black women and mentored black kids even after he was no longer being paid. The rash of break-in at his gated community were committed by blacks. Trayvon Martin was staying at that gated community because he was suspend from school. He has a police history., etc etc etc. The State withheld all this information. The state only agreed to this trial becaue of political pressure. The state interjected their own racist comments by describing Zimmerman as a "white hispanic"

This case was never about race until the Sharpton's of the world decided they needed a new cause to kick start their careers.

Anyone who is not making a profit off of this are being used as useful idiots . For the rest of us let's just continue to be civil in all matters and to everyone setting good example and that has the power to extinguish such hatred.

This new Black Panther Party has been rejected by the Black Panther Party of the '60s and 70's. according to the Southern Poverty and Law Center this new Black Panther group is racist and anti-Semitic and their leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers... So they are an extremist group that should be ignored.

Good post...and have to admit that our President is in an unenviable position, one in which he put himself in.

He spoke and got involved before any investigation was complete. He spoke at that time in words that reinforced and put emphasis on the race aspect. Remember this put enormous pressure on everyone for a rush to judgement.

He has appointed an Attorney General who, as of yet, has not even acknowledged the FBI findings on race, or the comments from the jurors (ALL of them, not just the one 'famous" for her interview) on the lack of race in the decision, and who simply in the past few days has been speaking to black groups about injustice, and to my knowledge has never uttered Zimmermans name.

His ex Secy of State has made remarks to black groups stating shock at the verdict and spoke of Martin as if he was a saint.

Today, the Martin family appealed to the POTUS to go over this with a fine tooth comb as the DOJ for the second or third time try to find something racial.

The White House says he will not be involved, and I will accept that for now, but he, himself, has put himself into a situation that is not very comfortable.

I apologize for not knowing this was old news - I can assure you I would not have posted if that were the case. It was brought to my attention this am and that is why I shared it; however, it disturbs me just the same if they said it yesterday or in 2010. And if that is the case why were they not prosecuted for putting a bounty out on a human being that is innocent until proven guilty. Oh that right - Eric Holder is the friend.

Mistakes happen but most do not admit them when they make them and kudos to you for dong that.

To add to this post......the demonstration where this bounty was placed, was not a small isolated thing.

Al Sharpton was right there and there are videos of him standing next to a fellow handing out the fliers with the bounty information.

As another poster pointed out, the taxpayers payed for the security for this event...the DOJ spent quite a bit of money that day..not sure how that plays or how they become security for an event.

The lemmings can pooh-pooh and claim all they want that it was an old threat by the black panther head THUG. And the lemmings can claim all they want that the New Black Panther Party has disavowed any relationship to this poisonous, murder-craving thug.

BUT, the website of the New Black Panther Party is right now prodding all its members to "PACK the court" today while the thug is in court on gun charges in NY (see press release quoted below, and the link).

They fully support this thug and his murderous, racist talk afoot thumping a billy club:

KING SAMIR SHABAZZ says black people should create militias to exterminate whites, skin them alive, pour acid on them, sic pit bulls on them, bust their heads with rocks and even raid nurseries to "kill everything white in sight."

But allegedly carrying a gun did.

Shabazz, 41, whose real name is Maruse Heath, is best known for sparking a federal probe for voter intimidation after he brought a billy club to a North Philly polling place on Election Day 2008.

But on Thursday night, police in New York say they spotted him wearing a bulletproof vest in Harlem, stopped him and found him carrying a loaded, unlicensed handgun. He was jailed on $75,000 bail on charges of illegal gun possession and the illegal wearing of body armor.

Some groups won't see the logic of this and want to blame everything on President Obama. They just can't accept the fact that he won 2 elections and is doing a good job. And they appear to be out in force on TOTV. I'm going to be signing off for awhile. When they got rid of the political forum, I thought it would be fun to get back on TOTV. But with all the political threads lately, the fun is gone. When someone says it is a bad thing to have a black President, and people don't immediately jump all over a racist remark like that, I know I need to find another place to converse. It isn't on TOTV.
