Crease it and semifold it so it doesn't droop.

Never if you want to calzone then order a calzone otherwise do you fold your T-bone before you eat it

In Boston, we eat it, not play with it.

Folding is not an amateur move. Tell that to NYC people. Not to mention everyone in North Jersey.

Thanx

I'm with you on the cheese, Janet. My ONLY exception is Mozzarella only on pizza. Thought I was the only one who didn't like cheese.

I grew up in the Italian neighborhoods of east Boston and the north end , had my first pizza in the original pizza Regina if your on the run or it’s real thin you always fold , holding the tip up with your other hand is the real amateur, if you can’t walk and talk with you slice, forget about it

When did we start folding pizza? - Scotts Pizza Tours

I have never folded my pizza slices that I can recall.

Taking a break from watching Rami Malek and Denzel Washington's The Little Things which mentioned that a suspect must be from "back East" because he folds his pizza.

And this is a hard movie to watch.

Do you fold your pizza slice? I remember a few people doing this but not many. I am around a number of native New Yorkers (NYC) here in Lynnhaven.

I am a native Cheesehead born in Milwaukee but moved to Reno, Nevada when I was ten. Parents are from a suburb of Chicago.

There is a reason why a constant post is you can't get good pizza any where around here. You hear the same about bagles.

New Yorkers, it is almost worth the airfare to get New York Pizza, bagels and deli. As to Pizza the best you can find is Bravo Pizza in Lake Sumpter. The owner had or has a place in New York. Pizza was, is on the run food. If, you do not fold it, oh no you don't dare to use a knife and fork they will immediately know you are not a New Yorker.

How about a dusting of garlic powder as well?

Pizza down here is not conducive to folding.

Been folding Pizza since 1952 :a040:

Folding your slice is a "New Yawk" thing. We're not talkin' Rochester or Watertown. We're talkin' the "City" here. OK, we've passed it on to some of our posse living in the tri-state area, but it's a New Yawk thing. Besides, my rule here in Florida is: always buy your pizza to-go. That way when you find out it doesn't meet your standards -- you can eat the box it came in.

Folding Pizza, that’s so you can shove it down faster or you don’t think you’ll get another piece.

I had to stop it for a while but will get back to it.

I like DiGiorno Stuffed Pizza which would be very hard to fold and eat. Never been to NYC. We saw it in the distance, I believe, on a sightseeing trip while going from Milwaukee to Cape Cod, MA but I was very young so my memories might be skewed. We had been to Gettysburg and were heading to the Cape. May have taken US 78 to US 95.

Talk about 1952, in 1952 I was two years old. I don't know who that old guy is looking back at me in the mirror but it would be an honor to be in a bar and having someone ask me to prove my age.

INFLATION illustrated by Pizza. I am old enough to remember being able to by a slice and a small coke for a quarter. That for me was a weeks pay. My allowance was a quarter.

airstreamingypsy 05-14-2021 10:05 AM

Grew up in Manhattan, NYC. Would buy a slice through the window, the slices were so big you had to fold them to eat them while you walked.

Blackbird45 05-14-2021 10:41 AM

Most New Yorker are always on the move. So folding makes it easier to eat while your walking. Watch " Saturday Night Fever".

Bklyn girls fold their pizza!

No other way to eat a great slice. Just fold and enjoy!
