Ya know..another jealousy thing is..that I was looking for song lyrics for some possible kareoke songs. Wrote down all these mushy words in song titles and when hubby found them on this piece of paper, ..he thought I was having an affair. It was hysterical. Advice? Keep your lyrics hidden!!!! |
We called our old Garmin "Brunhilda" - she was so bossy!!! Her tone when she said "recalculating" was so snippy!!! New GPS is named "GyPSy" and her tone is much nicer. But on our last trip, we kept stopping at gas stations and points of interests (a button must have been pressed by mistake that turned the voice off) she stopped talking all together. We were sure we made her mad and she just wasn't speaking to us anymore!!!

This is funny

Once, we changed our female's voice so she spoke French. Now, instead of sounding bored and snippy when she is "recalculating" she sounds alluring and sexy. Ooh la la.

Does Your GPS Voice have a name
Yes...we call her Agnes most times, but have sometimes called her Aggie when she starts to get on our nerves!
|
Welcome chrisg31! Glad to see you found your way to Talk of the Villages (TOTV) with or without Agnes.

But that's what's nice about having a GPS - it'll always correct your 'mistakes'!! :duck:
Ours is named Susan. I kinda like it when women tell me what to do............ :icon_wink: Bill |
Rosalita
We actually named ours while on our Lifestyle visit to TV, February of last year. We were driving through the "Spanish side", north of 466. Hence, Rosalita.
Fun thread, can't believe this is my first post...been lurking too long. |

If you go to the Garmin website you can download up to a dozen different voices. Mine is Squirrely, instead of recalculating he says aw nuts, hold on I'll get us out of here. He also has at least a dozen other phrases he interjects at random times during a trip, it's pretty amusing and when we have new people in the car it's a great converstion piece....gn
