That is the big dilemma how to get people to stick together luckily your peloton unlike all the others can travel instead of stationary like all the others are LOL.

I used my Peloton to run to the gas station with my 5 gallon gas can !

Exactly scare the hell out of those old folks (of which I’m one) so they’ll come running to big brother for help.

Many F-150 owners in Houston did exactly that in our recent power outage.

Leave it to Ford to be first to offer that option on their #1 selling trucks.

The next update on truck architecture will see that offered in every brand.

Take your vehicle home and syphon what you need for your lawn mower from it.

There are landscaping companies that can't just drive their tractors to the nearest gas station and fill up. They use gas cannisters. Remember we have deed restrictions - and most residents of the Villages don't own a lawnmower. So they are dependent on landscaping companies or "Jimbob next door who will mow my lawn too if I make dinner for him once a week."

I already thought of that solution in case no gas cans are allowed. Simply syphon the gasoline into five gallon gas cans at home, before going to the gas station. Of course, there’s a fire hazard storing five gallon cans of a gasoline in your garage.

The US has gone downhill fast since we were energy independent only a year ago. Hostile actors are emboldened to attack the US now, with no consequences.

I had to go from TV to Leesburg this morning around 8 AM . Returned to TV around 11 AM. Passed many gas stations. No lines. Plenty of action at the pumps but that the extent of it.

One thing this panic buying proves, is you do not need an army to destroy the USA, or any western nation.
Just create a panic, and the population will tear itself to pieces!

Sherry8bal 05-12-2021 01:34 PM

This is more of typical VILLAGES panicking. Every time they think something is going to be "short", everyone runs out like chickens with their head cut off buying up everything. VILLAGERS are creating the gas shortage for Florida which is just plain stupid.

Stories of folks topping off their mower cans....topping of their car every time they go out.....is what creates the lines.

In some area like in North Carolina my grand daughter said their stations have been out of gas since early yesterday.

We have an RV trip planned for next week for 10 days....itsa diesel...I talked to Pilot/Flying J corporate this afternoon. All their stores "have product" (gasoline) and diesel is not an issue.

mmm...cars have had anti-siphon devices installed for years.
Would have to use the golf cart as a gas can.

No, it's not a conspiracy. It's not socialism. We never seem to blame the corporation who wanted to save money, and had a way, way outdated, Microsoft software protection system, that was useless. And then there are Floridians who created their own gas shortage by rushing out to fill up when we don't get our gas from Colony pipeline.

We don't need fossil fuels to charge batteries. Solar panels and wind can do that. Technology is changing so rapidly and people are so far behind in understanding it. I'm befuddled why there isn't more solar in the "sunshine" state.

Was on my way to cleaners in wildwood circle k on 466a took 5 minutes to put a little over half a tank in . I was going to wait till tomorrow figuring by then the hoarders would get tired of topping there tanks up 3 times , but it was just as easy today

MDLNB 05-12-2021 03:07 PM

Needed to pick up a few items at Pubix today so I swung by the Shell station to fill up. Down below half a tank soooo. Anyway, all the pumps were closed. Nada, none, no gas there. Oh well.

Will trade TP for gasoline........:gc: Looks like the golf cart will start seeing a lot of mileage on it.

Are you allowed to be befuddled in the villages.

Circle K on 466A had gas but lots of cars waiting for it.
