But Zimmerman is showing himself to be an arrogant fool with an anger problem. No one who has that many run ins with the police is an innocent bystander. Someone needs to get control of this guy and take his guns away before someone else dies.

I am all for second amendment rights, but I am also for revoking that right when people act irresponsibly

I wonder if he has cracked under the onslaught of negative publicity, personal problems and death threats. Obviously his life has been shredded.

And he has no liability in this shredding?

Guess I just feel bad for the guy as he'll be hounded the rest of his life. Seems like he's gone through a lot just for doing a job.

Obviously, he has liability. Liability is the punity for an action and it is apparent that he is living that everyday.

If you mean does he deserve any blame? Of course, we are all to blame for our actions. However, understanding the apparent irrational actions by Zimmerman can lead to mitigating further damage.

He was NOT working at the time of the Martin incident. He was on his way to the store when he spotted someone "suspicious" (profiling, yes, but reasonable profiling given previous incidents which had occurred). However, he brought this on himself when he followed Martin, denied following Martin to his face and walking away without ever explaining who he was and what was going on. You had two macho young men high on adrenaline, one of whom happened to have a gun and the other willing to use his fists. Not quite a fair matchup and the outcome was what it was.

Does Zimmerman deserve to have his life destroyed for poor judgment? Probably not but he also doesn't deserve any great sympathy, either. Most of his post-Martin incidents would be absolute non-news had he not shot a young man. However, Zimmerman did do the deed and now continues to act out in ways not conducive to keeping him out of the limelight.

When you get right down to it, we Florida residents are being victimized by Zimmerman. We paid for the trial in which Zimmerman was found innocent. We will pay for his defense in the latest domestic dispute incident. The negative publicity has hurt Florida by keeping some tourists away. Zimmerman needs to hitch up his big boy pants and move on after taking a good, long, hard look at himself and work on seriously changing his attitude and his life.

We'll see what kind of a tough guy Zimmerman is with no guns and no ammunition. The charges he faces carry a mandated three year minimum sentence in Florida. Happy Holidays.

I was never a fan of either George Zimmerman nor Trayvon Martin and you captured my own feelings towards this two men. I did agree with the jury that there was not enough evidence to convict Zimmerman of manslaughter but it sure looked like there was more evidence than not that he did it intentionally. That is provoked Trayvon Martin by trying to play John Wayne.

There were movements for tourists to boycott Florida because of the Trayvon Martin case. Pretty much brought about by politicians using this tragedy for their own agendas with often little regard to the facts or even for allowing the facts to come out in this matter.

I really do not see George Zimmerman as losing his way because of this. It seems the opposite is true that he has become even more of a hothead and has quite a bit of hubris because he got away with it with the jury and SOME of the media.

I couldn't have said it better, Not sure about Florida being victimized by him. Florida is not looking good for tourists around the Orlando area AT ALL. Lot of crime committed by a lot of young and stupid males who should be working..

I don't recall reading anywhere stating he was found guilty of the current accusation.....but one would think there must have been a judgement made already when reading this forum.

Some how including recent events what people say George did never seems to match up with what George actually did. I suspect the media reps are on his wife's speed dial!!

As for the comment about tourists avoiding Orlando.....I have said since moving here that if one had to make their decision to live in Florida by watching ANY of the local news station one would not even consider it. The first 15 minutes are what I refer to as the murder-who killed who/rape/race/crotch report. I have no idea why anybody would move any where near Orlando, FL.

I'm assuming his parents paid the bail? He seems to have alienated his love partners.

I think they're all nuts. George, Shellie, his parents, the new girlfriend, the Martin family .... yep, all loopy as bedbugs. Then throw in Sharpton and :boom:
