My Bride has been very good..............so I'm thinking of putting it under the tree.

Just be sure you put something blingy inside. My DH got me a dishwasher for Christmas back in the '70s and has never lived it down.

PS: I use my Instapot a lot.

YEARS (that means a lot) ago I gave her a garbage disposal for Valentines Day. So she has very low expectation of me.......which is why our marriage works.

I got the Ultra, it has more features and has automatic pressure setting. But shop around. I have seem them up to $300. I got mine on a sale from Sur Le Table for $129! Then it went up to $149-I think that's the least expensive you will find it.

Crock-pot brand has one for a decent price. Read the reviews on several THEN decide!

Love my two Instant pots. Best kitchen purchase yet.

Yeah, well, I'm still hangin' around with Dishwasher Man after 47 years. Although there was a bit of re-training...

If your wife likes to cook, she's likely to enjoy an Instapot. Read this. Instapot: What the Heck is It and Do You Need One?

I am thinking of getting one as well. Here's a link to some recipes you can make. One that caught my eye is a rotisserie chicken in 30 minutes fall off the bone. Lots of other great recipes. From my observation you would need to brown the meat before placing it in the instapot. I had a pressure cooker for years and used it all the time until I blew the lid off and put chili all over the ceiling. This was totally my fault. The instapot looks to have more safety features than the old pressure cooker I had. My sister makes soup all the time with hers and she loves it.

We use ours all the time. These recipes look great; will start trying them.

How exactly did he re-train you? Mrs. Nucky yearly contract is coming up shortly and I'd like to include the training clause this year. :duck:

Never heard of this product before this thread appeared. It is intriguing. Alas, not seeing it in stock anywhere online or local. Anybody make a recent purchase? Where?

This is a newer model and the best price at this time. I got mine $20 less on a sale.

Thanks JN...I think I was looking at the 6 quart DUO and it was out of stock. The LUX is a slightly lesser model but might still suffice. The hunt continues....
