NO MASK NO SERVICE..........a short time wearing it in a grocery store etc could save a life YOURS... so Wear a Mask, and save a life, before someone wearing a medical mask HAS TO SAVE YOURS. Strange, you would not turn away help from a person wearing one, if you were in desperate need of medical care !!!! SHAME ON YOU

It seems that those who refuse to wear one have never had a loved one catch this virus...... sure many would wish that on them.

Interesting question. I'm sure there are multiple strange reasons, but if they knew that if all wore masks over a period of time, they could go to the bars, dine inside and small businesses would survive it might help.

Because they reject reality and see only the scope of their own ignorance.

To those who are offended by this: look in a mirror. You're probably one of the people I'm talking about.

Well said, OBB! Lots of selfish folks everywhere you turn.

Why is that not enough to encourage their universal use?

Prove it!

I know this video will not change many minds, but it reinforces the value of masks.

Anyone that does not wear a mask became it is uncomfortable, try a ventilator for several weeks and let me know if that is more comfortable.

JOG 07-17-2020 05:32 AM

Can't wear a masked so my Dr recommended a face shield.

JoelJohnson 07-17-2020 05:50 AM

"No shirt No service", at restaurants. Seat belts in cars. These are things that saves lives. Masks stop the spread of moisture from your mouth (try blowing out a candle with a mask on).

Right now one person spreads Covid-19 to 2.5 people, we need to get that down to below 1 to stop the spread.

Remember, Covid-19 does not care about politics, who you are, how much money you have. It will kill anybody that can't fight it off, sick or healthy. It may not kill you, but it might kill me if you spread it to me or my family.

If you want things to go back to "normal" help stop this thing.

Great idea, but...

Great idea, but it wouldn't work. They would be purchased on line by the same kind of folks that are not handicapped but use fake handicapped placards, or the folks that take their pets into places they shouldn't be and claim their pet is a service animal. You know, the dishonest people.
Still, it is a great idea to sell a lot of t-shirts. "$19.99. But if you order now we'll send you a second one free. Just
pay the extra shipping ($40.00)."

Stay well. Stay safe. Wear a mask. Peace!

Given the chance I will not wear one.
But how hard is it to slip one on when entering an area when in close proximity to others, and tale it off when not.
Will it stop me catching the virus. No.
Will it reduce the % chances of me passing it on, or catching it? Yes.
It's a no brainer in my book!!

No more grocery shopping for you!

DecaturFargo 07-17-2020 05:58 AM

Please. That's not what anyone is talking about. And, besides the well-known epidemiologists are uncertain about re-exposure and contracting. Just wear a mask. It's that simple.

unlikely that it can be contracted twice.
And I know you will say that you know or heard of someone getting it twice. The
doctors’ reply to that was it is generally considered that the second positive test was a ‘reactivation’ of the previous illness and NOT a ‘resurgence’. In all cases the virus was rediscovered less than 30 days after it was believed to have left the system....ie: a false negative.
So what is my point about all this.
If a person who has had the virus and beat it (and there are thousands of such people) be expected to wear a mask even though they cannot transmit nor contract it again. Should they wear it just to make you feel better?

Exactly!

I hope that those who refuse to wear masks because they are uncomfortable, also refuse to be put on a ventilator because I've heard that's really uncomfortable. That will free up a ventilator for someone who got sick because someone else didn't wear a mask. It sounds fair to me.

lwest542 07-17-2020 06:15 AM

I wonder how much of it is vanity? Its a thought........next time ask yourself if the person not wearing the mask thinks they need to display their face...

From what I understand from researching it, asymptomatic people do not shed the virus. So my not wearing a mask is not hurting anyone else. However, wearing a mask does reduce the wearer’s oxygen intake up to 60%, increases the risk of CO2 poisoning, contaminants sit inside the mask and are re-inhaled, and besides all that...breathing fresh air is vital to immune health. So I don’t wear a mask because I don’t believe it protects others and it hurts the one who wears it. And thank you so much for the way you posted this 😊
