Well, I've just discovered that she is the spokesperson for GREENPEACE, an organization to which I've contributed over the years.

I've just mailed a letter requesting they remove my name from their mailing list, as I will no longer be a contributor to an organization that has a traitor as their spokesperson.

Just putting in my two cents and FYI for those interested.

I've always 👎for both.

The Hollywood elite. Not much difference back then than now.

No one is perfect. You have to weigh the bad against the good to define their true character. You say you donate to Greenpeace and now that you found out Jane Fonda donates her time to make it better for everyone you are going to punish Greenpeace?
What does that say about your character?

I have many many friends who served in Viet Nam and everyone of them would like to have seen her tried for treason.

Guess you don't remember that she was given a note from the prisoners that she promptly gave to the the North Vietnam guards. The prisoners were beaten and 2 died. She is and was traitor

Uncle Ho and the Cong would never have given up in that struggle even if it continued ad absurdum. LBJ still hung on to the "Domino' theory. Maybe the right move in Korea in 1950 but not in French Indochina.

Regardless of your opinion of our participation in that war, Men were dying, maimed, and taken prisoner and tortured. All while she was in Hanoi being used as propaganda spokesperson by Vietnam. History will show that she is a traitor of the worst possible kind. Don’t buy this hype folks, this opinion is in the minority of Vietnam vets. USMC Vietnam 69-70.

This frame is proudly displayed in my man cave. I’m proud of my service to country.

I was there! You are missing the distinction between FACT and Propaganda. :1rotfl:

With all due respect she did NOT save lives. Do your homework

I am a 22 year veteran of the Army, a decorated Combat Veteran and if called today would rush to be back in any conflict that my country needed me for, but I also believe we should never have been in Vietnam. The United States was wrong, and committed crimes against the people and especially children of Vietnam.

I definitely believe we should not have been in that War, but to call her an American hero, really, she saved lives, really. Sorry, no way.

First, to all who served in VIetnam, THANK YOU and WELCOME HOME!!! One of the great tragedies of that war, the one where the US did not belong, is that we, the people, blamed the heroes who were there, giving their lives and body parts in the name of US democracy. Our great citizens criticized those heroes, spat at them when they returned home and refused to give them jobs and housing upon their return. That war was a tremendous blemish in our history. Jane Fonda had the gonads to stand and tell the truth and worked tirelessly to bring an end to that war and get our soldiers home. I salute her. I appreciate her and all the demonstrators who opposed that war and raised their voices to call out the perpetrators of that travesty. Good on you JANE!!! And again, to all Vietnam vets, thank you and welcome home.

Why bring up more old politics

Folks we are already so divided, as much or more than the 60s.
Why would we add to the divisions now by bringing up such a controversial issue from the past?
This had to set off more negative emotion feelings and continue to split us in half.
We need to unite over
Positives not negatives.

You can't protest your government during a time of war without protesting the grunt on the ground. Courageous? Are you kidding me? She was famous and rich, and that status was never in jeopardy.

Just my two cents, I could be wrong...

Please name one soldier she saved?

I wonder if the soldier that passed her the note during a handshake feels as JJ does? She gave it to the guards. He was beaten to h_ll.

That note passing story has been going on for years and has been repeatedly reputed. Do the research
