Yes, we did the same: went through the Villages insurance. We’ve had Gieco for decades and the price went through the roof. No accidents or tickets. We called The Villages insurance and got 1/2 the price.

I guess they raised ours to cover your other half...

Sorta staying on topic with auto insurance, I just transferred my progressive auto policy from Colorado to Florida today - my annual premium went down $400 with identical coverage (full coverage with high liability limits).

When you move to a different state, it's a whole new ballgame, even with the same company.

True- was expecting to pay the same or even higher, so this was a nice surprise - Didn’t realize how expensive auto insurance was in Colorado - regarding my homeowners policy, I was expecting sticker shock with all that’s been in the news recently, but was surprised that for similar coverage I had on my Colorado townhome, my annual premium actually decreased by $50. Add to all this, that there is no state income tax in Florida (unlike Colorado), and the sales tax is a bit cheaper - Florida is turning out to be quite a bit less expensive for me overall. The only area where Colorado is cheaper is property tax.
