Thought it also was tax free

I don't get the "27% deduction for taxes"....my understanding was that these checks were tax free

We too have no need for any stimulus money (thankfully)...so our check will be going to those in need

My sister and her husband both received $310 into bank account. Stated it was unemployment ins. Her husband had applied for unemployment and was denied but she didnt as she knew she wasnt eligible. She talked to others that received this also. She lives in KY. Weird.

Call the bank immediately.

Too many inconsistencies to even try to explain the amount. And for those who tried and were rebuffed, well thanks for trying.

I thought the Unemployment taxes, were based upon your state(whether taxed/non-taxed)?

Maybe it’s an unemployment check if he’s out of work.

I understood it wasn’t taxed as he had thought, but was less due to being prorated based on his income.
