In you are parking, have your engine running at idle and don't have your seatbelt on in the US Virgin Islands you can get a ticket even if you have the vehicle in park.

And you think local communities her in the states are writing tickets to pad the local coffers you should try the USVI.

I "OBEY" the law but there are moments when I catch myself speeding just a tad over. OBEY..OBEY...OBEY...Gosh..I hate that word. Sounds so d--- religious. I try to OBEY ALL THE TIME..and sometimes I err. It's just nice to get a warning and no, I'm not interested in lining anyones pockets!

Whatever a "tad over " means, would dictate if you get a ticket or not. If you cannot pay attention to your driving maybe you should pull over and stop to do your chatting with your passengers.

SBurger, I don't think that any cities in Florida have established their own cell phone laws yet. The State has no laws regarding cell phones other than those that apply to distracted driving in general. I'd bet that we see something in a year or two. What a tough law to enforce...cops will drive past you, see you on your phone and have to pull a u-turn to pull you over. What fun! And they'll never pull over the idiot in front of you driving 30 in a 45 while yakking on the phone.
