Head's up! There's a motorcycle officer giving tickets on Morse between 466 and El Camino. Y'all be careful out there, here?

We also had a LL patrol car at the Rio Grande pool area running radar......I gave him a when I went by in my cart.
I am happy to see the enforcement and hope they are out in force come Oct-April. |

You have to be really careful on "North Morse" because the speed limit is only 30mph. I think it is 35mph further South of 466 on Morse.

Actually crossed over the medan after a car going north. Glad to see it. There are some real fruitcakes behind the wheel.

I'm glad they are out there. The only problem is, when you need them they are not there. I was on Morse the other day and a car past me, probably going at least 50 miles an hour and no police. You always get a few that just do as they please. But I must say must of the people in TV do obey the speed limit.

The more tickets the better!
As has been stated many times every time this subject is posted....if you are obeying the law you have nothing to worry about.
What a neat way to supplement revenues....NAIL the speeders and other offenders. Go get 'em Danno!!! btk |

Gee Mr. PERFECT..that's pretty obvious. Are you always perfect? On occasion we are human and perhaps are listening to the radio, talking to the passenger in our car, thinking silently or thinking out loud. I "OBEY" the law but there are moments when I catch myself speeding just a tad over. OBEY..OBEY...OBEY...Gosh..I hate that word. Sounds so d--- religious. I try to OBEY ALL THE TIME..and sometimes I err. It's just nice to get a warning and no, I'm not interested in lining anyones pockets!

Seat Belt Laws/Talking On Cell Phone While Driving in Florida
I always wear my seat belt, and I make my passengers do the same. In Illinois a police officer can pull a driver over and issue a ticket for no seat belt use by driver and/or passenger(s) even if no other law is broken. Can police officers do the same in Florida?
What are the laws in FL regarding talking on a cell phone while driving -- can police officers issue a ticket for that? I don't mean driving while using a hands free device -- I mean phone up to your ear while driving. I don't talk on my cell phone while driving as I don't think it is safe --even driving while using a hands free cell phone device is too distracting for me. In Illinois every city is different regarding talking on a cell phone while driving. In the City of Chicago -- no talking on cell phone while driving, or you can get a ticket -- I'm not sure if that includes hands free devices or not. There are a few Chicago suburbs that have passed similar laws about talking on cell phones while driving. Laura |
