There are reports of them being around our nuclear plants. We are not smart enough to keep from destroying our planet (e.g. climate change deniers), so I am sure they are afraid we will destroy their habitat. We are already leaving behind space junk. It is not enough that we are polluting this planet, we want to pollute space and other planets.

We are not alone in the universe, and never were. Humans are a work in progress. Still evolving. As a whole, we know enough to get in trouble, but not enough to get out of trouble. Some recognize cause and effect. Some can't, don't or won't and bury their heads in the sand of lies and denial. Just because I love my fellow man, it doesn't blind me to our faults.
Earth is a tiny raft floating in the sea of space. As our population grows our individual space is diminished, our resources are thinned and damage to the raft increases, bringing us ever closer to dismantling or sinking the only place, currently, that we can inhabit and survive.
