A UFO is any Unidentified Flying Object.

It does not have to be from outer space, just a flying object that is unidentified.

Many are subsequently identified, so cease to be UFOs, but they were UFOs prior to identification.

No conspiracy theory here.

There are some that insist that there are ETs and maintain that UFOs are the proof , and since there is not indisputable proof it must be a conspiracy to hide the truth

Florida has the third most reported sightings.

After WWII, there was a conspiracy theory that the Nazis had escaped to the moon, and set up shop there. It was all based on their work with V-2 rockets towards the end of the war. It all seemed so advanced to people at the time. You can find YouTube videos that discuss it, and about 10 years ago, a movie named "Iron Sky" used the theory to make a crazy story. Once people got educated, they dumped that belief, and seemed to have moved on the UFO belief.

Bottom line: Space is big. Really big. The nearest star would take 4.3 years to reach at the speed of light. Approaching that speed would take an enormous amount of energy. And there is plenty of scientific evidence that no physical being can go faster than the speed of light.

Add to that the issues with space/time as you approach the speed of light, and the fact that we have never, since looking for them starting in the early 70's, picked up any radio signals, leads me to only one conclusion: We have never been visited by alien life. And if intelligent life is out there, it's really far away. And rare.

As a fan of Star Trek and many things science fiction, I hate to say this but - most likely, we will never encounter life outside of Earth. And alien visitation is a fantasy.

As another Star Trek fan, while what you say is most likely true, still makes for fun movies.

It does. And I don't say what I say with any delight. But I'm a realist. And the reality is that if there is intelligent alien life, it has not visited us.

Thankfully, their technology seems to have evolved to keep pace with ours.

The British movie, Quatermass and the Pit, released in the U. S. as 5 Million Years to Earth, revealed a space ship without discernable controls or power system. Also, some interesting and disgusting aliens. Cool old movie worth watching if you like sci-fi, old school in B/ W.

I agree ----- to a point. Every day we learn more about the universe we live in. That said, in my mind, virtually everything is possible, but much less is probable. Nothing, imvho, is 100% certain.

not surprised

Im not surprised many people who post here do not follow current info that supports new info concerning unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) ,, which is what they now call UFOs,,, its all here if you are interested,,, watch the video,, we have non human bio material

and rare?

Doubtful that its rare in the size of the universe, infinite!
Doubtful that it's rare in the Milky Way galaxy. .

Just impossible to know since as you state, there are just so many stars out there we can see, but we can't see the unlit planets out there, and they are so far away, that it's impossible to know. . so rare just wants us to be special. . but we really don't know nor can find out. .

No conspiracy theory here.

I have seen the "mysterious green lights" that make no sound. I have seen many strange things that I couldn't identify. UFOs, or UAPs. Aliens? I have no idea. Maybe. Maybe not. The "not" is the most probable, I believe. But I cannot be 100% certain.

Now that there are 1 billion, at least, camera phones in the world these sightings have stopped. hmmm

Never mind, Big Foot and the Lochness monster.......the tragedy here is that people are gullible to believe anything with even a small pebble of truth wrapped into fields of lies. Does the government really posses a flying saucer and dead alien bodies.

Please chime in with your experiences on ufo's and aliens and I am not talking about the younger generation. As we look back in time we realize how naive we really were. Will we ever get over that or are we just looking to convince someone else of something stupid for a laugh............:pepper2:

It’s all fake
