Sorry, I thought you meant the opening toss. And with the new rules the team that wins the toss doesn't always win. If they kick a field goal the other team gets the ball.

I never believe winning the coin toss is a guaranteed first score and win. I think it depends on the play calling and skills of the players and which team can hold up the longest.
