Excellent point ... in fact, should additional cases of Ebola break out we will quickly discover that the "patient" most at risk will in fact the economy. It would not take much to throw sands into the gears of commerce to the detriment of us all. Let's hope fate, or Muslim fanatics, or some combination thereof, do not soon intertwine.

Here is an article that explains how CDC has a wrongheaded focus on "social justice" (an oxymoron in any event) vs, applying sound science in support of the obvious to combat disease which in this instance would be to institute a travel ban. I term this most unfortunate mental paralysis "PCbola"

Impressive if not disturbing imagery. Kind of like a Walking Dead episode but scarier.

Not unlike the Boston Marathon. A villager's little grandson was blown apart and his sister had her limbs blown off.

I think her imagery is very possible, horrible as it is.

But this thread is about Ebola. Is it true that a New York physician has tested positive?

Yes it is true!

I had a chance to talk to Dr. John Cowin at the Florida Musculoskeletal Institute here. He was at the Boston Marathon and was involved in the early treatment of the wounded. His first hand account was something I will never forget.

"...Even as the authorities worked to confirm that Mr. Spencer was infected with Ebola, it emerged that he traveled from Manhattan to Brooklyn on the subway on Wednesday night, when he went to a bowling alley, and then took a taxi home.

Found: The Islamic State's Terror Laptop of Doom

Buried in a Dell computer captured in Syria are lessons for making bubonic plague bombs and missives on using weapons of mass destruction.
"…...But after hours upon hours of scrolling through the documents, it became clear that the ISIS laptop contains more than the typical propaganda and instruction manuals used by jihadists. The documents also suggest that the laptop's owner was teaching himself about the use of biological weaponry, in preparation for a potential attack that would have shocked the world.

The information on the laptop makes clear that its owner is a Tunisian national named Muhammed S. who joined ISIS in Syria and who studied chemistry and physics at two universities in Tunisia's northeast. Even more disturbing is how he planned to use that education:

The ISIS laptop contains a 19-page document in Arabic on how to develop biological weapons and how to weaponize the bubonic plague from infected animals.

The ISIS laptop contains a 19-page document in Arabic on how to develop biological weapons and how to weaponize the bubonic plague from infected animals.

"The advantage of biological weapons is that they do not cost a lot of money, while the human casualties can be huge," the document states.

The document includes instructions for how to test the weaponized disease safely, before it is used in a terrorist attack. "When the microbe is injected in small mice, the symptoms of the disease should start to appear within 24 hours," the document says.

The laptop also includes a 26-page fatwa, or Islamic ruling, on the usage of weapons of mass destruction. "If Muslims cannot defeat the kafir [unbelievers] in a different way, it is permissible to use weapons of mass destruction," states the fatwa by Saudi jihadi cleric Nasir al-Fahd, who is currently imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. "Even if it kills all of them and wipes them and their descendants off the face of the Earth."…..

It's also been proven that "Knowledge is power."

Power to take common sense precautions at a personal and national governmental level.

Interesting point. I have a theory about what brought much of that about and would like to test it out in a separate thread. Not sure the best way to do it but I'll try. This may take a few minutes.

common sense at the personal level is certainly doable.

common sense at the national governmental level (political level) ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! Would require acknowledging a difference between right VS wrong which is also politically impossible!!

Well the United States as the dubious honor of having the most Ebola cases outside West Africa. Have you noticed that government has not mentioned the possibility of south border crossings to get around airport security clearances and the number of new cases in West Africa is being under-reported

Don't forget the north border crossings. Canada and the US has a very long unprotected border. Those ebola infected jihadist suicide bombers can easily cross into Minnesota at Lake of the Woods disguised as fishermen on a holiday outing.

We never hear of that real possibility from the lamestream media, do we?
