How about if you give the N95's to someone who has no computer and may feel better having one?

Who are you to judge anybody?

My husband and I also wear glasses, I read an article about this and it said put a kleenex/tissue under the mask over the bridge of your nose that will collect the moisture. Guess what it worked!

Whenever I have ordered anything from Amazon, I can log on, click "my orders" and then click "return item". Then, I can print out a shipping label. Sometimes, I even get a credit on my account before I even return the item. I didn't know that you can't do that with all Amazon orders. Also, if you paid with a credit card, you can dispute the charge with your bank, since you didn't get what you ordered.

excellent on returns, instant from Amazon

I am claustrophobic and would love a solution. Haven't been in a store for over a month. Hubby does it all. I walk in our neighborhood and talk to neighbors through the lanai.

Maybe because you cannot find such masks in any local store. Tired of chasing around looking for toilet paper, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, gloves, masks, etc. You can order online at inflated prices, but delivery dates are delayed or uncertain.

Two weeks ago, I ordered masks AND face shields from China (of course we don't make them in the US). My order, IF ACCEPTED AND NOT RESOLD TO THE GOVERNMENT, should come in around May 21. I have a sneaking suspicion that they will be quite useful by then for anyone wanting to leave the house for food shopping.

I am careful about that. Or it is spread by coughing on someone or very close, in your face contact. I believe that distancing beyond that is plenty. The whole mask thing seems like overkill to me. I realize that there are people who feel safer that way or more responsible, but I think it is their personal choice more than of any real need. I especially think people wearing masks in their cars or outside walking is totally unnecessary. To me it is my own common sense choice. I believe that realistic information is the best guideline. I realize there are lots of different opinions out there, but this is mine.

The mask YOU wear protects everyone ELSE.

This virus can be in your system, and you might have no symptoms at all. YOU could, for all intents and purposes, be the next Typhoid Mary without having any knowledge of it. Wearing a mask will protect the community.

Not saying that you are required to wear one. You're not. But in the interests of the lives of the community - including all those out of work employees you might want to go back to work - you might reconsider wearing one.

Deception at it's best and I will not stand for it.

In the past we have had several items that were previously owned and certainly not packaged properly or without the owners manual or scratched and they were all third party sellers. Amazon stood behind each one of those purchase and refunded the money immediately. They also supplied a prepaid U.P.S. return sheet that I print and put a Barcode inside the box and the Mailing Label on the box and drop it off and before I get home the refund is done.

I totally agree that you shouldn't stand for it. But you still need to address it with the party responsible for the sale. Amazon is not merely a retailer. They are also a middle-man to third-party sales. You have to read the Amazon return policy. That is -your- responsibility, before each and every purchase. You also have to look and see if the purchase you are -about- to make, is "sold by and shipped by" Amazon. If it isn't, you have to review the seller's return policy.

USUALLY it's the same as Amazon's. But not always.

Here's the blurb from Amazon's return webpage:

Quote:

Seller Return Policy
When you order from a seller that fulfills and ships its own inventory (also called a third party seller), your return is sent back to the seller instead of Amazon.com. While most sellers offer a returns policy equivalent to Amazon.com's, some seller returns policies may vary. You can view the return policy of the seller before you purchase an item by viewing the Returns and Refunds Policy section of the seller profile page. To view the seller's return policy, once you've ordered, you can select your order in the Online Returns Center.

Third-party sellers must either provide a return address within the United States, provide a prepaid return label, or offer a full refund without requesting the item be returned. If a seller does not offer these methods to return your items, you may file an A-to-z Guarantee claim to seek help with your return.

If you are sending the item within the United States and the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service. Items valued over $35 must be returned to the seller with a trackable shipping service. For items below $35, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service. If a package doesn't arrive and you don't use a trackable method to return or if you refuse the shipment as a method of return, we may not be able to cover you under the A-to-z Guarantee.

Note: If the seller's listing is eligible for Amazon Prime, it will be subject to the same return policies as items fulfilled by Amazon.com that are outlined on this page.

The reason they do not wear a mask is because they think it is a hoax. Not me

KN95 masks are made in China, and were recalled in several states due to shoddy and unsafe manufacturing. They're better than no mask, and marginally better than the masks your dental hygienist wears. When there's no virus going around, you can get them for around $8/pack of 10. Also if you put them in an oven at 200 degrees for 2 hours the glue on the layers will melt and the entire mask will fall apart.

They aren't really intended to be reuseable, though you could probably steam them for a few minutes without risking them falling apart.

I didn't read the policy. Here is My Policy. The only one that counts. I order thru Amazon. I pay Amazon. Amazon will be and has been responsible for foul up bleeps and blunders similar to this in the past. Case Closed! They will make it right.

I mentioned this situation. I don't really recall asking for an assist. If someone wanted to relate their experience I think that would be fine. Thats what the Forum is here for. I'll be fine. I will not deal with the company who didn't even give me a kiss first! :)

I'm not going any further defending my position on this simple matter. :boxing2: :)

I wonder... you could probably put that mask in a cpap cleaner like Lumina or So Clean and have o3 clean the mask, no heat, no moisture. Don't know.

sallybowron 04-20-2020 11:52 AM

I agree! You have the right to risk infection but not to pass it on to all of us. Your refusal to wear PPEs is dangerous to all of s, and we have a right to complain.
