The Wii is an excellent tool..............

to get excercise like with bowling, tennis and golf.
If you get a Wii fit you will find it to be a very useful tool to help one establish a goal to reduce your BFI (body fat index) as well as weight loss.

Just becoming aware of your center of balance and the different games that Wii fit presents...all help to improve your balance as well as being a guide to BFI and weight reduction. We use it every day and enjoy the discipline it provides as well as the fun with the differing games/routines/execises.

It is not just for kids....in our opinion.

BTK

PS....if you try it you will like it....most of you that is.

Hi BTK,

Thanks for the information. I really hope to be able to find the wii Fit to add to the system. Everybody who has one really seems to like it. I will just have to keep asking every time I am in a store that might have one. They are always out of stock around here it seems.

I still need to get what I do have hooked up. Mr. Boomer has run off today to help somebody with a project, and I do not know one wire from another. But I hope to get started with this thing soon.

Thanks Cass. Is that for the basic unit only, or would that include Wii Fit and a couple of games to get started? I am a real novice.

Typically the Wii for $249.00 comes with the sports games...tennis, bowling etc.....these really are the bet games to get started with.....

It does become addictive though! I found myself on the Wii all the time. It was hysterical.

I absolutely want the Wii Fit....I think I could do each day to start out the day before work stuff!

I will tell you that since I started playing the Wii and becoming more active over all...I really have lost a lot of weight. I know it is not just because of the Wii...but it did get me started and still helps.

I went shopping to day and can officially wear 4 sizes smaller than what I was wearing in January when we started our Wii playing~!!

I realized I needed new clothes the other day....when I was dancing at the square and my Capri pants almost fell right off!!!

SO....I need to keep going and I need Wii Fit....if anyone sees one out there please post it here ASAP!!! or pm me

Great recommendation BTK, we'll be getting one for sure! :coolsmiley:

My only concern was that it might turn out like my treadmills. Yes, plural, I actually have two, one at the cottage and one at home. Occasionally I look at them, and sometimes even step on one of them and turn it on for old time's sake. But then I realize how truly boring it is to walk in one spot for an hour.

The Wii sounds as if it might actually be fun!

Our treadmill was in our bedroom and ended up as a clothes hanger! Got very little mileage on the critter. As we speak, it's now stored in the garage...... B-O-R-I-N-G....

Anything has to be more exciting than a Treadmill.

Barb, I love the quote at the bottom of your page. It is a good reminder to me, and something I think we should all strive to remember.

BBB

When Mr. Boomer finally sets up your WII, make sure that he connects the plug into a
power strip and not directly in the wall socket.....

Please tell him to avoid what happened to me.....during a storm- the battery pack was zapped and did not work. Good thing for me that I registered my WII game with Nintendo - I contacted them and they sent me a new battery pack - FREE...

So now go tell Mr. BBB that you will kick his .............. in a game of golf .....

and the loser does the dishes....

Enjoy and have fun.....

How is everyone doing with Wii? Maybe everyone is spending their time using Wii instead of posting on this thread. :)

I especially like the fact that Cassie has had such good results. We just have the sports, but hope to find a fit program.

Now, to figure it out. I have never even seen one before today. All I have seen in action is on U-tube, but we will try it. Can you tell I don't have any grandchildren?

Fun

We have one set up in a Senior Citizens Center in our town here and it is a blast! All I have done is the bowling and the golf. It is so much fun!

I definitely want to buy a Wii in TV within the next couple of weeks.

Best Buy and CC seems to be advertising them, but perhaps purchasing them on the Net is better?

Anyone figured out the best place to purchase a Wii?

We just picked ours up at the local Target.
