The storm is passing. Still have power in the Page Valley. Some over in the Shenandoah Valley have none. Weird for October. :cold:

Nothing better then coming in from skiing to a nice warm house with the wood stove cooking.

That is the reason they publish beautiful calendar pictures each year for us to admire. We don't have to be there.:cold::laugh:

Here in the Mid-Hudson Valley it is snowing. Depending on who you listen to we will get as little as 3 inches or as high as 10 inches.

Looking out from our windows it looks like a winter wonderland. The wood fire is keeping us nice and warm and comfy.

Snow here in rural America stays white usually until it melts.

For hunters, bow and arrow, it makes tracking the deer easier as they can see the tracks in the snow. We know many people here who hunt to supplement their food budget.

Back to watching the snow flakes fall.

Here in Southern CT..... snow coming down in large flakes on and off... accumulation right now about 3-4 inches, city snow plows cleaning the streets, this is a first... that we would have snow in Oct. before Halloween!
