Always miss the first and second snow storm. Have been blasted by friends, that since I moved, they have had an earthquake, hurricane and now the freaky snow.

State of Emergency

Snow storm is worse than I thought it would be. The county I reside in has been declared one of the State of Emergency counties in New York.

We have a generator, but fortunately we still have electricity. What is unusual is that in the past we are one of the first in our local area to lose electricity.

Emergency crews have been called into our area and hopefully those without electricity will have their power restored tomorrow.

Looks like we are not going anywhere tomorrow. Dear hubby is putting more wood in the wood stove.

I manages the earthquake (really weird sensation), sloshed my way through both Irene and Lee, and got totally depressed by lack of sunshine over 8 weeks. I am so so happy that I missed the snow! I like snow for Christmas but as far as I'm concerned that's the only time is serves a good purpose.

I like the White Christmas thing too except the kids come for Christmas and we don't like them driving in it. :sigh:

You folks really make me sick!! Last night we went to Wal-Mart and on the way home, we had to pull over and put the sides down on the golf cart because it had gotten so cold. Talk about roughing it!!!

Not yet, we've gotten soft since we moved down here.

Probably had to change into a long sleeve t-shirt too, eh? :1rotfl:

From checking the news sources, it sounds like the storm in the NE really packed a wallop!

Tell me about it!! I actually had to drag a sweater out because we were going to be out late at Katie Belles and then out to eat after going to the Boo Bash last night! Hope this doesn't keep up!!

Posh 08 your Mr. Ghost (now known as Mr. Snowman) looks like the cold has HIM scared! Your house is beautiful - hope you all find a buyer soon and can bring him south!

I love to rough it by putting on a sweatshirt in TV when it gets too cold. :)

Yep and had to put on socks and shoes too instead of my usual sandals.

Yesterday, a friend phoned from the frigid north, Boyertown Pa. I answered the call singing, Frosty the Snowman.... just had to rub it in. We have been here for only three months but already have alot to be thankful for!

Still can't give up the sandles though!
