I have been searching the Internet however, I cannot find a link to the poll. I usually watch PBS News, ABC News and Rachel Maddow. No Oberman here.

They all were talking about the Tax Day protests which include a breakout of the Tea Party makeup.

I did find references to brithers being included in the Party and I would point to the Representative from Minnesota as a prime example.

So to be fair I will change the statement to: Some members of the Tea Party consider that Obama is NOT a US citizen.

And some who are not members of the tea party believe that...so what point are you making ?

It appears that those who lean left watch the left wing shows...guess that should be of no surprise but sure answers why the conversations get muddled up !

I will have to begin to watch Fox to see what is so damn intriguing about that network....to have the President attack you is not only somewhat historical and very un presidential so they must have some important stuff going on over there.

By the way COLOGAL..I am not what you call a birther and from my reading that is such a small number...probably equal to those who believe that Jeb Bush helped rig the election in Florida !

Holier than thou makes me laugh...I spend most of my time on here apologizing for my dumbness but whatever floats your boat...been called a lot on here just because I totally object to President Obama. That is pretty much the game plan since he even began to run...if you dont support him or his policies, you gotta be a racist, be holier than thou..something..ever notice that Wayne...how the WH attacks the press or anyone who does not bow down ?

However, I have a project for you should you really want the truth...I just did it out of curiousity because I honestly dont watch any of them but google the following :lies maddow, and then lies olberman and then lies fox and find that ALL of them coat the stories to fit their point of view. It is a shame you cant see that....that you are only interested on one point of view but maybe if you do and find that your heroes are just folks spinning to their point of view.

During the campaign there was a long discussion on those folks who make a living as commentators on these networks and the fact that they DO NOT broadcast news...dont even profess to do that. But you can follow them all you want..your right and privilege, but still wondering why you and the President find all this wrong with one network and their viewership goes through the roof.

Now Wayne does it not make you feel good that YOU and you alone moved me to watch Fox...arent you proud...because I am going to check out what is making you so cranky !

cashman, from my own research, Nancy Pelosi had a provision in the original bill that passed that would give jail time. Period. Those are the prior posters previous clips about Fox reporting on Pelosi' jail time in the bill.

There was so much uproar over this, the Senate revised the bill to impose sharper fines. I've tried, note the word tried, to read through the penalty parts of the bill meself. Unless you go back and reference a zillion other Social Security laws, IRS laws and such, I don't know what it says.

Remember Nancy said we had to pass it to find out what was in it? Well it passed and I'm not sure anyone still knows what's in it. I hear the Progressives talking about how disappointed they are it didn't go far enough.

I did find this fair and unedited clip of an ABC reporter talking to Obama about it. It's about half way down the page that pops up. Maybe some of the other experts who reputed the claims can tell us what the bill does say about penaties, or about anything in general. Actually I watch several different news outlets and I read many sites on the INTERNET. I clearly don't rely on just one source.

I wasn't making a point with this post....I had made a statement a few posts back which Cashman called me on. This post was in response to that post.

I think you are wrong about the Birthers...I base that on the number of elected Repubs who skirt the issue, when asked, by saying he should show his birth certificate. They must think the base thinks that way.

And why is it always tit for tat thing? Fox News lied about Obama's school but Donna says thats ok because MSNBC lies. Assuming you have children did you teach them it was ok to lie because other people do? Is is ok to steal because other people do it?

They say when Bill Clinton said that Oral sex was not real sex, high school student believed him and justified their behavior by quoting Clinton. This is true, it is documented.

When children see this president lie, what kind of example is he setting?

Those who identify with the Tea Party movement make up 20% of the total population.
Tea Party members are better educated than the population as a whole.
Tea Party members earn more than the population as a whole.
30% of Tea Party members believe the 'birther' myth as opposed to 20% of the population as a whole.
Tea Party members have the same age demographics as the population as a whole.

An observation - these conclusions are not the results of a conservatively skewed analysis of the data, but given their sources are much more likely to have a liberal bent.

It's time to realize that comments such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi's on April 15 referring to the Tea Party movement as 'Astroturf', not grass roots show either a remarkable level of self-deception or of knowing and telling a deliberate lie. I believe it to be the former.
