Sounds excellent that ALL gun sales should be required to have background checks - whether they be among friends or casual business or full time business.

There are thousands of guns in the villages. How many murders? I am one that does not believe that everyone should own a gun. I believe that responsible persons should own guns. I am sure that you are scared of guns, so you probably shouldn't own one. Feel free to impose your fear on everyone else. If you don't like something, then you believe that the gov should ban it. A conservative doesn't like something, we don't purchase it. We don't ban something because we don't like it. I have seen idiot liberals driving cars and golf carts dangerously, and I think they are more dangerous than people with guns. Should we demand a mental acuity test before they can drive a golf cart?

Nope, not scared of guns at all - unless they are aimed at me. Vietnam veteran who enlisted. In the morning online news, a Villager shot and killed himself. A few months ago, a Villager killed his wife and himself. It does happen just like othe retired communities.

No one is saying to ban guns. Just put controls on the sale and transfer of them.

As to testing retired folks for driving golf carts? YES. You mention the idiot liberals driving - probably more idiot conservative drivers in The Villages.
