Apparently reading comprehension is not your strong point. The post was in response to a statement the killer "will win in the press". It asked specifically for links to sites to back up such a statement of the killer "winning". So try again.

No, you should try again - actually you should just shut up.

No news source is saying that Flanagan "won". Yes, he did get fired from his job but it was actually for acting very irrational. Yes, he did file several EEOC complaints. He did think his firing was due to racism. He cracked up and basically went off the deep end.

No one feels bad for Flanagan. Everyone I know feels very bad for the families and friends of the reporter and cameraman.

The racism theme of this thread (a common theme on this forum) misses at what the media buzz is. Guns.

Doesn't matter. They are both high profile, high priority Obama and democratic agenda items.
Actually it is nigh impossible to separate the as the violence of both are very inter twined!

Ah yes, more brilliance, "you should just shut up". Love the get off my grass crowd of old dopes who are on their way to complete total irrelevance, actually already there.

I'd wish you best personal regards but why lie like the frequent poster who makes that his childish motto.

Thank you for bringing it up. Yes, guns are the theme that should be addressed. Once again, an unstable person has bought a gun and ammo and used it for murder.

The governor of Virginia said the same thing. Mrs. Clinton said it. Isn't it awful that the Republican candidates did not mention guns at all in their tweets?

Of course, what else would you expect the the riders on the Clown Bus?

If you ever get the chance, read a very short book called, "Don't Let The Republicans Drive The Bus". It is hilarious.

Yep, those damn guns did it again. This one unlocked itself from a gun case, called a taxi, directed it to the site of the news interview, paid and tipped the driver, then floated over to these two victims and killed them. Yep, we better pass laws to deal with guns like that.

Two innocent people get killed while doing their jobs, and senior adults here are posting cheap shots at each other. That would be unbelievable except that it happens here all the time. We should all be so proud of ourselves.

Exactly how would you have prevented this guy from obtaining a gun? There was no evidence that he was unstable in regards to a records check. He blames his firing on him being black and gay, period. If you want to claim that everyone that feels persecuted because they are black or gay shouldn't be allowed a gun then you would have another reason for them to feel prejudiced.
The reason for the huge increase in gun sales in the last five years is thanks to Obama. When people feel that the gov is attempting to over reach, they feel like they may have to protect themselves from tyranny. No one hopes for this, but as with stock piling survival items before a big storm, people are preparing for the worst and hoping for it to blow over. Once Obama is gone, the country will attempt to stabilize again.

Liberals love it when someone with a gun goes off the rail, because they enjoy cashing in on the anti-gun rhetoric. Well, you aren't going to get rid of the guns in America, so you might as well start prosecuting the criminals instead of coddling them. Liberals are ready to jump on law enforcement when they do their job and then complain that the gov doesn't protect you when the bad guy trespasses against you. You want the gov to babysit you, and then complain about how they do it. Perhaps liberals ought to seek to have postnatal abortion legalized, since life is just too difficult.

Gun Violence Prevention - Myths and Facts About Guns - Public Policy | The Joyce Foundation Do some research.

And how is anyone with guns bought wherever going to stop the US military, cops, etc. if the US government does overreach? This is a false projection of why the Second Amendment was written It was to muster groups of militia in the colonies to act against the English. This means armies fighting armies with similar weapons. We have the National Guard to do this with respect to defending ourselves against foreign invaders. There are various laws to prevent some rogue general from becoming the next Julius Caesar.

I feel very sorry for the friends/lovers/family members of the two journalists gunned down by a gay black man who sounds like he had very serious problems with anger management coupled with an illegitimate feeling of persecution. Actions speak a lot louder than any rhetoric.

Yes, I'm sure a "rouge" general contemplating a military coup will be stopped by a law written on paper. The second amendment was also written to provide a safeguard against the tyranny of government---even our own

You would not stop his tanks, helicopters and planes with what can be legally purchased in various gun shows. You might stop him through another government agency using the US Constitution as a basis for the Rule of Law. Second Amendment | Law Library of Congress

The US Constitution is what protects us from becoming like some country beset by coup after coup. More to the point though, it is the continued respect for the Constitution in this country. When we lose that we are probably going to go the way of other failed experts in Democracy.

It is not the rule of the moneyed interests in keeping us all in heavy weaponry which is fueled by NRA lobbyists.

There is an article in the on-line villages paper about a man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon for displaying a pellet gun (that looked like a pistol) during an argument.

Believe me, if I ever see any of these Villages John Waynes showing a gun in whatever could possibly be construed as a threatening way, I am calling 911 and they will be charged with ADW in a heartbeat.

You mean like the "continued respect" for the constitution shown by our commander in chief?????
