I went to law school at the U of MN in 1986-1989 and worked at the Law Library from about January 1988 through June of 1991.

Keith Ellison was in the Class of 1990 like my girlfriend/roommate/prisoner clinic Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners student Jennifer V. I do not remember much about him just that he was ambitious-- he wanted to be a United States Supreme Court Justice. I do recall he was a Muslim at that time but it was hardly a big deal. I am aware of several Jews who are now quite prominent lawyers one of whom was my Co-Director for the Minnesota Correctional Facility-- Stillwater. She was/is half Native American and the other have Jew and the daughter of a well known Native American rights lawyer/advocate. Mr. Ellison might have made comments about Jews in law school but I have no knowledge of these.

I was Class of 1989. U of MN Law School.

I know nothing of the man who got the Chair of the Democratic Committee but the Democrats do have a lot of work to do if they are going to be able to relate to people at the grass roots level.

Tom Perez served on the NLRB and was a good friend to the unions. the unions own the progressive party. Dershowitz public announcement made it clear that if Ellison was elected chair he would leave meaning a lot of Jews would leave.

In either case both are far left and I believe many center left Democrats will quietly move to Independent. I say quietly because they have been witness to the radical left wingnut progressives and their angry antics.

In the big scheme of things and in the long term...it doesn't really matter who is the DNC chair.

Trump and his rabid cultists will prove to be the best recruiting tool for future Dem's...that they could have ever hoped for. :D

I hope you are right. I have lost a lot of faith in intelligence and common sense of ordinary people after the success of Donald Trump and his campaign of hatred. He basically trolled his way into the White House offering not much more than insults about his rivals, idiotic policies that seem very unrealistic on their face, and may other things. Unfortunately we had Clinton running and she does have a lot of baggage from her husband to carry. Also the FBI and Russia provided great aid in stopping Clinton from getting elected.

A truer statement you have never made...it DOESN'T matter...because Hispanics are breeding "us" out. EVERYTHING will be different in 30 years...THEY will be the majority.

Those are the people actively DESTROYING "America". We're turning into a 3rd world Mexico II. Minorities by breeding and women for letting them...encouraging them.
