That's not true. Hatred has been directed at many immigrants over the years in the US and before that in colonial America-- Catholics, Irish, Italians, Germans, Polish, Chinese, Africans, Muslims, etc.

WTH did I just say? ONLY white men can "hate". Yes..."hatred" was directed by WHITE MEN...TOWARDS "many immigrants over the years in the US and before that in colonial America-- Catholics, Irish, Italians, Germans, Polish, Chinese, Africans, Muslims, etc."
Back then, white would go against white when times got hard. The white/white hate was more about jobs, employment, rather than any REAL difference. It was differing beliefs, not ability.
With white/black it is a real difference in ability.
Slavery ended for 2 main reasons...mechanization (machines did the mundane tasks done by slaves, planting/picking and ginning cotton), and competition.
The north disliked slavery because the jobs were "real jobs" compared to picking/ginning cotton from a thousand acres... Owners of slaves could drastically undercut "regular", "free" business owners. A slave cost a place to sleep and meals...a free man had to be paid a wage.
The whole "free state", "slave state" thing, one for one, was to give free men the ability to compete. The real difference in the "north and the south" was the weather. The south was agricultural because it had a long growing season and good soil devoid of rocks. The north was colder, harsher, and had a LOT of rocks. Other forms of business other than wide scale farming flourished.
It's NEVER "HATRED" when a "minority" black/brown/woman says something "hateful" against a white man. It's seen as..."they're just telling it like it is".
