Actually there is something we can do just as portrayed in the novel and movie called " Atlas Shrugged ".
We who produce products and services , who manage businesses , who donate our time and money to our communities can just say " Enough " ! WE can just STOP .
Just think of that -- we don`t volunteer , we don`t give to charities which spend their money on the sponges of society .
We just STOP ------ the great masses who hate us but in reality depend on US will quickly find themselves in a real bind .
As in the Novel eventually the producers move away to another part of the country and only allow in other producers and the elderly who did produce during their productive years .
This might seem foolish and not possible but it is already happening every day . People are moving away from the tax heavy states such as New Jersey and New York . They take with them their future income tax dollars , property tax dollars and sales tax dollars .
This is generating huge budget deficits in these States and their cities . After all they are not about to cut any of the programs that feed the votes for the D`s . So they continue to " kick-the-can- down-the -road and leave the problem to a future administration .

If welfare was ever cut off, there would be a race war. The blacks and hispanics would riot and loot and steal. First in their neighborhoods then in yours. People have to eat.

Most of them could not read a map to find how to travel to where the producers moved to ! They would feed off each other .

That's true and quite interesting. Most violent criminals are minorities. And there is a lot of fraud in welfare. Did this administration do the country any good by expanding welfare to the point where we have a record number of food stamp recipients? Did they do us any good by expanding unemployment benefits to two years? If you would want a dependent society then this administration has done it's best to put America on it's knees. You can't force anyone back to work by paying them to stay home.

One out of three adults in America do not work. One out of three does not pay any income taxes. That means that only one out of three is paying to keep the lights on in government, and for those on welfare. America cannot sustain that kind of burden very long, before becoming a third world country.

I do not endorse gov subsidizing billion dollar industry, such as Obama funding a failed solar power company. I do not consider tax breaks where they get to keep their money as being subsidized. But, I do realize that liberals feel that tax money is theirs, so therefore if you get to keep the money you earned, you consider it gov subsidized.

I have no problem with helping those that really require it. I would venture to say that at least half of those getting welfare could be taken off of it IF they were required to work. Minimum wage jobs have never been considered career jobs, so anyone that wishes to live like that does it because they wish to, not because the have to. If they want to work minimum wage jobs as a career, then let them work two or three jobs like I did in bad times. These folks that CAN work and don't, are taking resources that the old and handicapped should be getting.

I have no use for the lazy. If they refuse to work, then let them perish. That's their choice and not my responsibility. We have enough mentally impaired in this world that we don't need to support the unmotivated.

Apparently, you have a reading comprehension problem. MOST welfare recipients are NOT/NOT white. Only 38.8% are white and the rest are minority. That is not even close to MOST. Even if you just count the black population, it's more than the whites on welfare.

Damn right! Welfare is a failed program, we have multi generations of families that have never worked a day in there lives, welfare has not helped them, it has held those people back in life. But when they can't fund the EBT cards, the sense of entitlement will become very apparent and the welfare recipients will take from the people that they feel "owe them".

IF you weren't so comprehension impaired, you would see from the posts above that Blacks are the highest welfare recipients on the scale, followed by whites, etc. Yes, I also ADDED the statement that if you put all the minorities in one group, then the minorities way outweigh the whites by about two to one, or even more. These are just facts, and I don't care any which way. As far as I am concerned, ALL welfare should be mean tested and get rid of about half of the lazy that do not need it. Make each person work for the gov handout according to their ability, and drug test and I bet you would save billions or even hundreds of billions.

Per capita or as a percent of population, minorities are much higher recipients. In 10 years they'll pass whites in numbers receiving welfare because their children (the ones who are really eligible) will greatly outnumber white children. Welfare is cheaper than prison and that's where they end up. The women have their children and the children qualify for welfare, the mother rides along as the "care taker". The men don't get welfare like the children do, so they end up being "taken care of" in prison.

The men who aren't in prison often end up as live in boyfriends because marriage ends most welfare benefits.
