A person that goes to church may not be a real Christian by some standards. If one claims to be a Muslim and kills someone, he may be a murderer, but he is also a radical Islamic terrorist. Call it what you want. A scumbag by some standards, a religious freak by others. |

My 224 613 Project had an impact and continues to have an impact with helping survivors/victims of crimes. I could not have done that work without the connections made at the University of Nevada, Reno; BYU; the College of San Mateo; the University of Denver, and especially the University of Minnesota Law School. I have had other help from the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus, Brandeis University, the Harvard School of Public Health and many other institutions. |

Actually the best way to understand Islam is to recognize its really an imperial political movement masquerading as a religion |

If a murderer says he is a Muslim, then I will take his word for it that he is a radical terrorist Muslim. Are you going to deny his claim? I did not say all Muslims are radicals, or terrorists or murderers. You said it, not me. Of course, I probably have more experience with Muslims than you do. I didn't get my information from a book, but by experience. |

How many Muslims do you know? I probably hung out with six or so at the University of Denver. They were individuals with different backgrounds, beliefs, etc. All from different Middle Eastern Countries. Some allowed their wives to socialize with us Americans, others did not. I went to law school at the University of Minnesota from 1986-1989. Congressman Keith Ellison-- who I believe is the first Muslim elected to the US Congress-- was Class of 1990. I was Class of 1989. He was not born a Muslim but converted. Except for being very ambitious, I do not remember much of anything else about him as we hardly cared what religion other students were. I had a two year or so correspondence with Mahmood Mohammad who was a fellow student at the University of Denver GSLIM. He was a librarian at the University of Mosul. His brother was some kind of general or other in Sadda, Hussein's army. His letters to me became filled with more and more hate towards the west as his time away from the US grew further. The Iran-Iraq War dragged on during that time taking thousands of lives on both sides. There are many fanatics still in both Iraq and Iran. THey may base some of that fanaticism on their reading of the Koran. Warriors have often used religious tracts to justify their greed, warlust, or whatever. The University of Mosul is now controlled by ISIS as far as I know. Mahmood Mohammad probably did whatever he had to do to stay alive if he is even still living. Murderous fanatics rarely act with any kind of reason so who knows what happened in Mosul. |

On Findlaw, I had a good friend who was a Muslim in Malaysia. She was a lawyer of some kind there and was a very gentle and kind person often defending others' right to follow whatever religion their hearts were set on as long as these beliefs did not lead to violence. |

IMHO there are better alternatives on both sides. That might be though the choices we have. Neither one seems particularly honest. |

Looks like it was not as promising as I had thought. I mean the letter from Carol Rasco who was the Domestic Policy Advisor of the Clinton Administration for some time period. I sometimes wonder what e-mails of mine will show up in some of these various politician record scrubs. |

I'll leave with the Bobby Jindal quote - paraphrased about Trump. Donald Trump has never read the Bible. He's not in it. |

Now, get back to the thread and quit beating your chest. Personally, with all that knowledge you seem to indicate that you have acquired, you sure don't seem to know jack. |

I know quite a bit more than many jacks. Practical information for survivors/victims is critical to their ability to journey through the legal system, medical care, support systems, etc. Many organizations supported by efforts to create a dialog between various providers of services. This thread is about the honesty of Donald Trump. I do like his challenging the establishment about politics as usual. He does seem to want to connect with the people rather than talking at them. We will see how this story progresses. Again, I value the brave work done by our PAID firemen, police, soldiers, coast guard, etc. |

I hope you realize that you sound condescending when you say such things like "our PAID firemen, police...." And the fact that you use caps on "PAID" proves how you think lower of them because it is part of their job instead of volunteering. Do you really think that anyone is awed by your written papers and suggestions to politicians? Dude, have you ever heard of the term "overkill?" There, you have been successful in diverting attention from the thread to YOU. |

He is bluffing/blustering his way on the campaign trail with not one iota of intelligent policy planning. The suggestion is ridiculous, right? Well that's what makes it believable that and the fact that Clinton and Trump both swim in the same cesspool. Personal Best Regards: |

I loved my Dad but I thought to myself shouldn't Americans aspire to something greater when electing its leader. I saw it in Ronald Reagan and I saw it in Mitt Romney where both men could conduct politics while maintaining their self. Its defined as unselfishness. Personal Best Regards: |
