janmcn: I could be flip and tell you that there is no sense being homphobic unless you can act like one but I won't because I don't live my life that way.
But I will tell you that I do believe in the phrase " hate the sin love the sinner." Frankly from my personal view I find the act repugnant but that doesn't mean that I would want harm to come to anyone. I suspect like my wife and me some families may have relatives who are gay. While we are very cordial and supportive of these family members they should not expect that we will embrace their sexuality.
This is a very fundamental and personal issue and has nothing to do with being enlightened or having an epiphany. This isn't trendy. Finally for me this isn't a relgious issue. However I am finding at every turn liberals in one manner or another that are pushing this lifestyle from being one of an alternative to one of a preferred. I cannot tell you the number of TV sponsor I have written to explaining that I obviously did not reflect their demographic. |
