Topics question: Is this forum a true representation of Village residents?

This question, while perhaps not intended, is like asking "when did you stop beating your wife"?

First, we do not know if all posters on Political Talk are residents of The Villages?

Secondly, we do not have personal knowledge of any one poster. So it is difficult, if not impossible, to ascertain motive or intent of the poster and more importantly the poster's state of mind.

Third, some posters appear to be simply mirroring those of their ideological beliefs. meaning that there is not any real and individual thought behind their comments

Fourth Hence these are not serious people and as such it is a waste of one's time to engage in dialogue. When faced with facts they simply deflect or deny but never engage.

Fifth, I may be wrong here but I theorize that since the baby boomer generation is said to have begun in 1945 and ended in 1954 (some report later) we are now seeing the tail end of the baby boomer generation retiring.

And since behavior got progressively more liberal beginning in the late 1960's there is quite a difference in cultural even within the baby boomer generation. The result is TV would get its share of the Cheech and Chong set.

Sixth, we simply may have want-to-be villagers dirtying up our board.

I sure wish people on here would actually do some research.

We have those who consistently demean our press to insure that our population is properly brainwashed.

Did any of you actually watch and listen to the hearings on bots, which still exist today.....spreading lies.

This is why I am critical of those who WILL NOT SUPPLY LINKS FOR WHERE THEY GET THEIR INFORMATION.

WE KNOW from experience that many of the posters read faithfully Russian WEB SITES.....we also know they refuse to supply any credible links to support their arguments.

Does this forum represent our Villages....of course not. We have been invaded by bots, trolls who take advantage of the lessened rules on here and the faint headed who believe what they want to believe and want someone else to tell them what to believe.

I am not that "old" but do talk too much at times. 2-24 birthday. Class of 1976 Earl Wooster High School, Reno, Nevada.

Other Wooster Alumni include Greg LeMond. Greg LeMond - Wikipedia

I also have 4 degrees earned after that-- 1980, 1981, 1984, and 1989 with many extra courses taken after that.

LeMond's sister was is some of my High School classes. Pretty and nice girl back then.
