I was just reading the bio on Marilyn Mosby. She sounds like the very positive product the conservatives are always writing about. She is 35 years old, black, and from the inner city of Baltimore. She grew up in a home with mother and father - both police officers. She is an attorney with private business experience. She had a campaign to get crime off the street. Mosby is showing the Baltimore citizens she sees both sides of the problem and that the police will be held accountable if found guilty.

I would guess Maryland is going to see a lot more of Mosby in their state politics, even though they did recently elect a Republican governor.

She's from Taxachusetts, not Maryland.

My mistake. Marilyn Mosby grew up in inner-city Boston. She is married and is the mother of two children.

Very impressive bio. I know what the inner city of Boston is like and it is impressive that a young woman from that background could pull herself up - with the help of a mom and dad who were both hard working police officers - to attain a position as Baltimore's State Attorney.

Good parenting on their part and shows what can be done.

She definitely is going places! Keep an eye on this up-and-coming political superstar.

I'm a liberal and both my kids are conservative cops. So much for this line of crap!

Dear Guest:

Has it ever occurred to you to ask them why? I appreciate their service

Dear Guest

I set aside her pedigree because in this racially liberal charged community she is not calling the shots. And if there is anyone naive enough to not recognize that Sharpton, Holder and Obama have a hand in this well there is this bridge............. Criminals are provided due process and a presumption of innocence. However these cops have already been tried found guilty and sentenced because liberals do not want attention brought to a blue city with so many apparent failures and that of its politically aspiring mayor.

Many people white black brown red have complained about cops unfairness from felons to mismeandors. I have never gotten a ticket for traffic violation that I thought was fair. No justice no peace.

The IRS unfairly treated Republican and Tea Party. No justice no peace.
four Americans died in Benghazi and no one has been held accountable. No justice no peace.

The deserter,Bergdahl and his family received celebrity treatment from Obama, and his parents invited to the White House rose Garden while honorable men and women have been ignored . No justice no peace.

The creeping Clintons have been selling access to America for some time making them multi-millionaires and have not been brought to answer said charges. No justice no peace............................................. ..............

Good points ... and I think you're correct about the no justice no peace in this context.

The state attorney should be removed from office given the way she told the mob "I hear you" ... unbelievable.

Given the aftermath of the Freddie Grays death, the city being burned, the cops being charged etc

Seems like we need to ask our liberal friends ...
- Just WHY is Baltimore so screwed up?
- Why is it a hellhole? Is it a model of liberal policy success?
- Would they really ever want to live there ?

Care to venture any serious analyses of the causal factors?

Alan Dershowitz Rips Charges Against Baltimore Cops: ‘Sad Day for Justice’ | Mediaite

Well know liberal law professor Alan Dershowitz really went after Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby today for charging the six cops involved in the death of Freddie Gray, saying it was entirely based on politics and “crowd control.”

Dershowitz lamented that “this is a very sad day for justice” and told Steve Malzberg that Mosby acted out of a “desire to prevent riots.” It will be “virtually impossible,” he predicted, for the six officers involved to get a fair trial.

And as for murder charges, Dershowitz said there’s “no plausible, hypothetical, conceivable case for murder” and “this is a show trial.” He predicted that Mosby might get removed as prosecutor and Baltimore citizens may get upset if and/or when they “move to a place with a different demographic.”

He concluded that it’s “unlikely they’ll get any convictions in this case” and if they do they’ll likely “be reversed on appeal.”

Blk D.A. was pressured into charging the officers.

White DA's who don't indict officers, shall we conclude that they were acting on pressure from the KKK or just the GOP as they likely ran on the GOP ticket.

It won't happen when the likes of Obama, Sharpton, the MAyor of Baltimore, the new head of DOJ, et al looking for a non black pound of flesh.

When will we ever get a chance to make it right.
We give them aid of all types.
We have lowered the standards of achievement in schools in the name of equality.
We are in the process of eliminating selective law enforcement to appear as to not be profiling or picking on them.
.

Wow, an actual right wing admission that there is selective law enforcement. One rule for white people and a different rule for black people. You seem to have had an epiphany. Congrats

Alan Dershowitz is not privy to the police report that was released to the DA on Thursday or to the DA's investigator's report, so knows no more than what has been reported in the press. As a law professor, he should have more confidence in the judicial system and allow these cases to work their way through the courts.
