When my great grand parents came to the USA (at Ellis Island) they assimilated very well. The FIRST thing they learned to do was SPEAK ENGLISH and join society, work, work and work some more. There used to be shame (of sorts) in not speaking English. Now, we are supposed to change OUR ways to assimilate to Spanish? Um, NO.

You are obviously very young or not very knowledgeable,
if you are not aware the America has accepted
millions upon millions of legal immigrants from the distant past until the present day.
Probably far and away more than any other country.
And many of those legal immigrants spoke other languages!

Some people like to shock others with their language and opinions as a substitute.

Think about it. Why do you make your comments? Why be outrageous in a forum with a bunch of people over 55? You're pretty desperate for attention. Any kind of attention, even if it's negative. You call everyone else is a troll but you want to shock people and get them talking. Otherwise you would have ignored me. It's a substitute for a relationship.

I want to believe that I am talking to a twelve year old, or a bunch of twelve year olds that's just jerking around old people. I can't help it if I feel sorry for people less fortunate then me. That's the way my parents built me and my sibs. And that's the way I built my kids. The hard hearted on this site would feel very uncomfortable with my extended family.

How it IS affecting the country...THEY are the majority from age 6 down. You were lied to about their numbers.

Um, YES...they are the majority under age 6...and growing. EVERY year, their numbers increase and ours goes down. Within 20 years spanish will be the dominant language.

These immigrants were invaders, here to get THEIR land back. They'll end up with the whole country.

How ironic for "Native Americans"...that's what many Mexicans, C. Americans, are...indigenous people, or more often mulatto's...to end up taking back the land stolen from them over the years by us.

We did it for them, through our greed.

You should be grateful for the "hard hearted" as you call them. They are the ones that have kept you safe and free, allowing you to coddle your children, until they are weak. You didn't do your children any favors by spoiling them. Those "hard hearted" are the ones that have to make those tough choices that endure your safety. But, you are too naive to see it or understand it when it is pointed out to you. You assume, feel owed. Your type are the ones that are hurting America, making it weak.

Someone has to be the adult and make sure everything "works". It's always the men who have to step up and fix things.

Spoiled kids do well as long as "the system" operates, not so well when things get dicey...

They're letting the minorities take over and there will be hell to pay when they do.

Who makes the decisions that chooses one's fate? The extremely wealthy and the elected. Did they put their life on the line? Did they inherit the money? Aren't they soft? Do they put their own children in dangerous situations? Step back a little.

I feel sorry for the children of the extremely wealthy. You can't be honest with them. It's like when you have a boss that makes unfunny jokes and you need to laugh because it's in your best interest.
