Saul Alinsky was a facinating person. He was kind to everyone and generous to a fault. Saul had a great sense of humor. He was a very spiritual person, too. Saul believed that no one should be suffering and did his best to level the playing field of life.

I am very fortunate to have had him as a teacher and was able to call him a friend. I miss Saul very much.

As to pledging allegiance to an international flag a PSC school in New York did just that took an American flag and pasted foreign flags on it stripes and made the kids in that school pledge to an international flag. You read only what you wanted to read. I said the plesge of allegiance to young schoolkids is a rote act of recitation. To have them say it without any meaning does not mean a thing. Also, foreign kids in the class should not be forced to pledge allegiance to our flag.
