When they do attempt to have a debate the opposition gets shouted down. Yes I do tune into Fox Noise from time to time and this is what I have seen. I'd rather watch The News Hour on PBS. |

PBS should have been shut-down decades ago as it is a stain on the american taypayers. |

Cologal, that's my point. FNC is the only place that Republicans get a fair chance to give their views. As for calling Obama, Osama Obama I don't know if anyone at FNC called him that or not, but I do know that Teddy Kennedy did, twice.

It is a simple slip of the tongue easily made because of the similarity
and as pointed out even done by the likes of Ted K......but seized opon as an overt act when the partisan blurrrrrr is applied.
If one does not believe the media is in a totally different mode than when Bush was POTUS, just simply take note of the amount of coverage given Obama.....daily and multiple times daily. And when was the last time any of the national letter name news media ever held Obama's feet to the fire for things he (Obama) said and promised but has now ignored or dis regarded. Opinions can be expressed for either party or points of view....what is obvious to most any open minded human with a pulse is what is not said about what this current president does and does not do that have any negative connotation what so ever. That will not last for ever.....even the apathetic Americans will tire of the daily shine him up keep him looking good no matter what media. btk |

I really don't understand the comment that Fox is the only place Republicans can get their message out. I see Republican's on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and PBS being interviewed. I can't get anything on AM radio but Rush, Hannity and quite a few other conservative talkers. Glen Beck was on MSNBC or CNN until he moved to Fox. Really haven't you seen the over the top screaming matches on Fox. I have watched quite a few.... |

And Bush was always complaining about the news media. Also, Bush blamed everything that went wrong on Clinton. Boy...do we have short memories........ |
I'm looking at the thread title, "I see David L. finally apologized".
Veered a bit off topic, eh?? |

Cologal, Bobfl beat me to it. i was just getting ready to post this news conference. Obviously it was a slip of the tongue, but the point is that if it is a Repub it is blown way out of proportion. Yes, there is shouting on FOX. BOTH sides are trying to make their point. There is no shouting on the other channels because the panelist are all in agreement. Sometimes there is a token RINO that is outnumbered.

I find a conversation about Fox News in this context to be rather funny !
I put this in the same catagory as the move to silence talk radio frankly. Then I read that in today's news conference there was coordination between the WH and Huffington to have a coordinated exchange between the President and the reporter. http://www.politico.com/blogs/michae..._question.html Now this stuff has happened before, and it surely isnt shocking in and of itself, but this is a President who said a lot during the campaign about the politics and the transparency, etc, and has shown himself to be somewhat of a storyteller as he does the opposite of what he says. Then we have people attack Fox news and my question to them would be .....are you attacking the presentation of facts OR are you speaking of those folks who do commentary ? If you are speaking of the news broadcasts, I would challenge you to submit some examples....IF you are speaking of those who do commentary....different story. But I ask you to listen to the hate mongers on MSNBC in the evening and ask you which of the two networks is CLOSER to fair !! Easy answer I think ! |

One of the Sunday shows I watch is This Week....they rarely yell but on PBS Friday nights there is a round table I used to watch but I gave up because the all scream at each other. I guess I am more into calm discussions.... |
