It is amusing that any conservative who values first amendment rights would move to The Villages where there is no freedom of speech or freedom to congregate.

Just because they're from the NE doesn't mean they're liberal. It's all the minorities in the cities and a few misguided whites who are the liberals.

The Villages is becoming more Liberal with younger folks moving here and now most are from the Northeast. The old angry ones from Michigan and the Midwest are dying off.

Yes, there are more liberals in the Villages than frequent this forum. But, they didn't come here to argue politics, just to play golf and make fools of themselves in the squares. And that is their prerogative. Most of the liberals realize that they live in a safe community BECAUSE they are surrounded by conservatives, many of them Vets. And I never hear them complaining about it.

Someday, when our pet liberal troll grows up, he will see how nice it is here and wish it would never change. Why? Because most kids are liberal when young and then conservative when they grow older and wiser. Not everyone that is liberal wises up, as is exemplified by our liberal female on here.

The Villages squares are all privately-owned property. Try putting your soap-box up there and see how long it lasts. The same is true of all rec centers, private property.

You might have freedom of speech in the privacy of your bedroom, as long as you don't speak too loud and disturb anybody.
