You are da@m lucky you live in America...
Only here are you able to make such insignificant, but hateful comments which offend many people; their thoughts, their ideologies= and are allowed to continue and continue. Like President Obama, I too have been a community activist in my time, it was always people like you...loud and shrill...who
frightened me. As 'elders' we certainly don't look like role models when people like you voice discontent, hatred, other-invested ideas. For me, I still remember that Sarah Palin could see Russia from Alaska. "We" are the government, and "we" are in this together for solutions, not divisiveness. I wanted to steer clear of the Political Board as I've read your comments, this is my first and last one here. I will however, I'm sure, cancel your vote, so spew away. |
You can consider these the words of a paranoid.
How long will it be before there are so many complaints that the Political forum is a totally hateful place. That it is a place where right-wing radicals and Republicans say disgusting things about our President and our government and the kind Democrats and liberals who try to carry on a peaceful informative dialogue in this forum. I'm sorry, that's already happening. While, how long before these goodtime liberals start complaining to the sponsors? How long before there is pressure from sponsors to shut down the file and disgusting political forum because they do not want their product associated with such vitriol. That would certainly stop like minded people from having intelligent political discussion with each other in the villages. It would not stop it but it would seriously cut down the free exchange of ideas and information. Think it can't happen? Read the rules for radicals by Saul Alinsky. As I said in the beginning, just some thoughts from a paranoid. |

I feel better...Look out here they come..How long do you think this country will allow this foolishness to continue?..Like I said,it's just starting..We'll fix the problems, with or without you..Either bi-partisan COOPERATION or a NEW set of congressmen..Your choice.

Truman wasn't into name calling he just alluded to the fact that if your in the kitchen there will be heat and if ya don't like it the door swings both ways.
This way there is no character assassination which seems to be so necessary to some!!!!! A trait that is usually displayed in anonymous encounters. btk |

My mocking of some posts I consider laughable or silly or self serving are more rooted in sarcasm (as long as I'm amused and not angry), because that's MY style. Mocking doesn't always have to be mean and the recipient might even understand and appreciate the humor. Didn't you and your friends go at each other when you were kids? The thing is not to overtly insult the other person. It's sometimes a fine line and that's why some are overly sensitive to the mocking, but that's how I see it this day, Sept. 12th 2011.......Back to you Chet |
Ah, who cares. I'm leaving for golf in a minute then football tonite -Miami vs New England Patriots. Life is good. Maybe mockery was the wrong word belittling a fellow poster? Bye.

Rubicon,We can all just bury our heads in the sand and pretend racism does not exist..I know for a fact and have seen it in writing through private e-mails from several neighbors and friends of mine in the Villages and they are outspoken tea party members..I believe that is what is currently driving the hate towards Obama along with his stance on corporations...
That said,I don't think he's a great leader either and I hope this election doesn't end like the last one,"lesser of the two evils". |
Racism will be here for eternity, it is human nature. It is a minority and isn't worth spending the time to talk about it. Remember, it was not very long ago that e-mails and posters of George Bush looking like a monkey were everywhere. If they put pictures of Obama looking like that would it be racist, or are they saying he is stupid like I presume the liberals thought Bush was?

Is it racism if you think that black inner-city culture is not as good as traditional Anglo-Saxon white culture? Is that racism? If you state that there are more black criminals in our jails which have beens to be true. Is that racism or just an observation of the facts. I think we have to be very careful as to what we call racism. People have been playing the race bating game for too long. Culturalism is not racism. Just some thoughts |

Those that question that racism is rampant...Maybe you ought to look up the term CULTURAL RELATIVITY... Putting yourself in someone elses shoes....
