When I was at some public meetings in my town, I took some pride in that the conservatives were VERY polite while the liberals presented their case - yet when the conservatives talked, the liberals were rude, interrupting and actually "booed" ordinary citizens giving their opinion on the subject (a highway project proposed for our town).

Now I see the most vile, disgusting and unabashedly racist crap coming from uber-conservatives. Those NOT on the lunatic fringe aren't much better. Limbaugh's criticism of Clinton "back in the day" was nothing like what I hear from him about Obama.

Yeah, I defended Bush from the "idiot" and "trained monkey" comments before 2008. After all, you don't get certified to fly jets (whether or not they were obsolete - doesn't matter) if you're a trained monkey.

I'd hoped that conservatives would be more gracious and "above" the kind of tactics the liberals used when Bush was in - but I was wrong.

To be honest, I don't know how much worse the hyper-partisanship can get - but I know I'm going to find out.

How many times must I say this: I do not hate Obama, I hate his policies. Is that hard for you to understand???? I never hated Carter but I despised the way he acted as commander in chief. These liberals are trying to rewrite history to try and suggest that Obama is treated with a disrespect, and even a hatred, never shown a President before, and it's unadulterated nonsense, and I won't take it without pointing out their disingenuousness, or even worse, their outright lying.

This President is treated with kid gloves compared to the malice that was shown the good man who was George W. Bush, who by the way, is still the recipient of their enmity.

The only mention of racism I've seen on this forum is from Obama supporter's using the race card when, as is usually the case, they have no valid counter argument. It's Obama's socialist progressive policies and disrespect for the greatness that is America that are abhorrent, and nothing else.

If we can't hate him because he takes more vacations than past presidents then lets change it to the costs per vacation because there probably isn't any research done on that one so I can't be PROVEN to be a close minded moron.

The thread was about vacations. The problem with Obama's vacations are twofild: first he takes them when his total focus should be on solving serious national problems. Secondly when he takes one he has an enormous entourage, private cooks, etc costing taxpayers millions and millions of dollars.

Turning to this race issue liberals need to invent a new reason as to why people do not have confidence in Obama like his inability to understand economic and foreign policy. Remember Obama is half white so if the racist thing could stick (its an excuse for his poor performance) then racist would only half not like him. Liberals this issue is getting really old and tiring. I would vote for Thomas Sowell in a New York second because he is both intelligent , possess common sense and would promote the greater good

You are incorrect. The thread was not about vacations but rather the number of vacations. The author of the thread was thinking that our President was taking more vacations than past Presidents. Once that idea (promoted by Fox News by the way) was debunked then someone else tried to change it to the costs of vacations.

Now about the racist issue. It's very difficult to prove racism now a days because it's not as "out in the open in the south" as it once was but there are clues. How about the Tea ****** issue that President Obama was not born in America? Did the tea ****** folks ever question McCain about his citizenship? How about George Bush? What about the question of his being a Christian or not? Why do you think so many (including some on this blog) refer to our president as Barrack Hussain Obama?

Did you know that when you refer to The Tea party as "**********" you are being derogatory? Did you know that "our president" insisted on using his middle name HUSSEIN at his swearing in as President although the press refused to call him that during the campaign?
Tell me about Obama's vacations, like spending millions to take his wife to New York for a day. How many exotic vacations did President Bush take while in office. He had the decency to go to his own home and carry on business.

- I support vouchers in school choice programs.
- I support free speech, even (and sometime ESPECIALLY) if it's not Politically Correct.
- Although I support gay marriage, I also believe that no church should be forced to perorm such a ceremony if it goes against their religious dogma.

First of all, I find it curious and not even sure why that all of your examples are PRE ELECTION in 2008...not saying there have not been any since, but find it curious !
