WHy single out congress' approval rating lower than Bush?
It was/is lower than Obama as well.
I continue to be amazed by the measuring standard that Bush has become when so much after his departure is so very much worse!!! btk |
Republicans v Tea Party
JimJoe, I happen to agree with your premise. In fact I have written Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio and John Boehner that I believe a third party will be formed for the 2012 election unless the Republicans make some serious spending cuts. All budgets have fluff in them its the nature of the beast. Even w/o raising the debt ceiling I am afraid that any spending cut boast will be nominal in nature. I believe the system is broken meaning that far too many incumbents have been on the dole so long that there is no turning back. I am a registered Republican. I am not a member of any Tea Party. However I support what they are attempting to

the republicans get paid by the same people that grease the Dems. It's not really complicated..follow the money.

Republicans
Speaking of Republicans JimJoe see if you can get Chuck Grassley to stop supporting the ethanol subsidy. 40% of the corn grown goes to making ethanol up from 10%. Even the EPA agrees ethanol has a negible effect on reduction of hydrocarbons. I tasted that Iowa corn and it is good eating but bad on my car engine

I completely agree with you and..

JimJoe - The corn going to ethanol makes prices higher for the rest of us since it is being used for fuel instead of animal feed. There is also a lot of corruption in the ethanol business. I know of some of the ethanol plants in Iowa that have gone belly-up after fleecing lots of the small time investors who were slick talked into them. Check the pockets of politicians to see who contributed money to their campaigns. Not just in Iowa, either.

"There is nothing wrong with Fannie & Freddie Mr. Regulator, why are you here"?
Giving out home loans to people who couldn't afford them. And the whole house of cards crashed and is still burning, thanks Democrats. http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/2...e-mac-in-2004/ |
