Like most movements, there are parts I don't like of the BLM. I would never advocate the murder of another human being, especially not of someone who has volunteered to protect and uphold the law. However, I do appreciate BLM bringing to light the abuses by some police officers and departments. I've personally seen this abuse of power when a dear friend was pulled over for no reason other than being a black man in a white neighborhood with a white female passenger. Steve Harvey, a pretty hardworking, seemingly decent black man, has admitted to talking to his sons about how to behave in public, especially when talking to the police. He actually threw away every hoodie his children owned for fear it might label them as thugs and get them shot by police. If it takes an organization like BLM to bring abuses out in the open, then I'm for it. If BLM can stop some of abuse of power by police, I'm for it. If all BLM did was cause riots, destruction and the maiming and killing of police officers, I would be against it.
Black lives matter. So do Hispanic, Native American, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Caucasian and so on. All lives matter. There are many police officers who patrol black communities who have never drawn a weapon in public. They can frequently diffuse a bad situation with words and actions. There are, however, some officers who inflame communities, who belittle and harass young men of color (a young Hispanic male is actually stopped more frequently than a young Black male). This needs to be stopped. If BLM can stop some of these abuses, then something good is being accomplished. Those are my reasons for being in favor of BLM. I don't support them. I won't donate to their cause nor will I march with them, but I will applaud their bringing to the forefront a grave injustice in this great nation and the fact they have opened dialogues. Red |

Secondly, you change the subject.... I assume from your post that you support a movement to socialist, marxist forms of government. ????? That would be better addressed rather than demeaning the service of another poster. |

Why aren't you protesting Planned Parenthood? They have a plan of genocide. Why aren't you protesting Clinton for jeopardizing national security and for lying about Benghazi? Why don't you protest Obamacare for forcing Nuns to provide birth control, which is against their religious beliefs? The frivolous nature of your agenda is overwhelmingly naive. You wonder why conservatives are so condemning of liberalism? Because by it's nature, liberalism is destructive to America. Everything that America stands for is in jeopardy of stagnation when it's citizens accept a liberal ideology. There is a war going on in America right now. A war between accepted American standards of growth and freedom, and the social revolution of those that feel that the gov needs to provide more support and control over those freedoms, to the detriment of the wealthy and ultimately the comfortable lifestyle of the majority of American citizens. And it IS a war, to keep America solid and strong, vs those that want a weak and vulnerable country. If America goes down, the rest of the world suffers. So liberals, you have to ask yourself this; are you willing to destroy America just to have your satisfaction, and to further a foreigner's agenda? Are you that Anti-America that you would sacrifice the future of our children, just to alleviate your anarchist frustration? If so, then you have declared war against America. |
Great post now here's an incident that occurred while at the book signing. I was on line to have my book signed chatting with the women around me. My husband had just finished playing softball and was going to meet me on line
The sheriff would Not let him in the store and here is why. He had on his neighborhood softball uniform. He always wears around his neck those cool bands because of the heat here in Fla. His band had the American flag on it. Sheriff. Made him put it in car. Hmmm wonder if he was Muslim with head scarf he could have gotten in. Adios America, perfect title for anns book |

Very upsetting. No my husband is good clean looking (prior military). I swear to you all he had on was his softball uniform and his cool. Neck rag with the American flag on it. The sheriff told him "we don't want to cause a problem". My husband, not the type to argue just went and put it in car. If that had been me, I would not have done that. I just sent a tweet to Ann about what happened in 40 words or less. Hard to believe we live in America anymore. My husband, an Irish white man, is becoming the minority. That is why I said the title of anns book is absolutely correct. Adios America you have no idea how upset I am

Yes, your husband is no longer relevant. He should just continue playing softball, golf, and drinking. His neck rag is actually disgracing the American flag. |
What an idiot. My husband is Not a drinker first of all. He is a patriotic who put over 30 yrs in the military!! And you???
|
And yes the tweeting is to wake up America however it appears to be too late.

I still remember the 1968 Dem Convention in Chicago .. .the only difference is the flag burners, who were then rioting in the streets, are now inside the hall running the show. And liberals wonder why there are increasingly viewed as a total f'ing joke, as well as destructive. |

Tell your husband that I, also a vet, salute him. If I would have known there was going to be more than three idiots protesting outside a bookstore, I would have come down with some flags to protest them. But really, we need to sympathize with them. They don't understand what they are doing. They are naive and uninformed. That's why we are here to protect them from themselves. |

Liberal Language
"Of course, we expect that kind of language from liberals, right?"
That vulgar language came from Ms. Coulter, a right-wing, conservative of the worst kind. Yes, she is allowed to voice her opinion, no matter how wrong she is. AND leftist liberals are allowed to protest her remarks and vulgarity. The protest was quite peaceful. Despite the fact she likes to create controversy, Ms. Coulter snuck into Barnes and Nobles through the back entrance, like the lowlife snake that she is. |

What's with the faux indignation of her use of vulgarity? Is it because you mistook her for a liberal for a moment? From Time magazine: Biden: "This is a big F**ing deal." " During a June 8 interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show, Obama said he had been talking to experts about the BP oil spill so he could learn enough information to find out "whose a** to kick."" "In 2003, Senator John Kerry talked to Rolling Stone about his decision to vote for the Iraq war, saying, "Did I expect George Bush to f___ it up as badly as he did?" ".... Obama called Kanye West a "jackass." There are more, but you get it I'm sure. And yes, Republicans do it too. Just wanted to remind you that no one is believing your indignation about Coulter's vulgarity. You just needed an excuse to be a Liberal a...hole. |
Ann Coulter is not afraid of anyone. She is certainly not timid and was escorted in the back door the same way every guest is. That's normal procedure

Coulter does not speak for right leaning conservatives, she speaks for herself. I don't remember anyone appointing her to that position. She is a vulgar nasty woman who wasn't raised properly. No one acts the way she does without deep seated emotional issues. Only the mind of ignorance thinks the way she does. |

I'd say, get over it, but I doubt it will do any good. When liberals get their teeth on something, they are like pit bulls. I should have gone up there, because my wife wanted to meet her. But, I am not into meeting celebrities so much. Her spontaneous vulgarity doesn't bother me at all. I know women older than me that speak like that at the pickle ball courts. In today's world, if you are bothered by harsh language, then you had better join a convent. But, for a liberal, that would be equivalent to Satin going to church. |
Ann Coulter is a professional polemicist. She gets paid to poke people with a stick and see what happens. In real life, she's good friends with Bill Maher, with whom she shares an alma mater.

I am pretty certain you have never met her. You might want to consider that name calling reflects on how you were raised and exposes anger issues that you may have. In the future, you may want to consider treading more lightly with people you don't know.
