A recess appointment would be a quick way but Pres. Obama knows that make the do-nothing obstructionist Republicans even worse. The President will submit his appointee to the Senate and let the American public see once again how it is the Republicans holding up progress. In an election year, this is a very savvy move for the President - and will be used by the Democrats.

Found dead, alone in his hotel room with a pillow over his head, no security detail and no autopsy. I am not a conspiracy nut but doesn't this seem fishy ? The most Conservative Justice on the Supreme Court. A little too convenient for this POS POTUS. (Use your own imagination on POS abbreviation)

Sure, Obama will submit his appointee to congress, they will delay or turn it down, and then he will make a recess appointment. That is his MO and he does not care what the public thinks, because he always knows better what is good for us. The tyrant's ego supersedes what is right for the country.

I wish he could make a recess appointment. But unfortunately, the law requires Senate confirmation. And we know the Senate will not confirm anyone he nominates, no matter how good a candidate he or she is. Their modus operandi is to block everything Obama does, whether or not it is good for the country. An interesting outcome of this expected prolonged confirmation process, is that the cases on the docket for the Supreme Court will be subject to 4-4 ties. That means an Obama victory for the cases involving unions, The Affordable Health Care Act and contraceptives, and electoral districts. |
