I voted for not one of these people....but they were feed the lies about the war by the Bush Administration as was the American people.

THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION LIED. THAT A PROVEN ACT!

And thousands of American soldiers died because of these lies....But you cannot Handle the Truth.

That is the truth.. Congress voted in good conscience based on faulty information unfortunately.

There seems to be a name missing.....I think there was a Senator from IL that voted against the war.

Now what was his name? ..... Obama!

Barack Obama was not a member of the US Senate at the time. Thus he did not vote on the invasion. But as a member of the state senate in Illinois, he expressed his vocal opposition, calling it a foolish decision by President Bush; and when he joined the U.S. senate in 2004, he voted against the surge and against additional funding for expanding the war. In 2008, as a candidate, he promised he would end our involvement in Iraq if he were elected, and that is exactly what he did.

I stand corrected!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, and I do not want to get into a heated argument over this issue, since it is not related at all to the subject of the thread, but...

IMINT collection showed evidence of biological lab facilities capable of making WMDs. That's a proven, and I was privy to such information as an Intelligence analyst. Mass burials of thousands of bodies killed by poisonous gas (WMDs) prove that Sadamm DID have WMD's to kill those people. The time period between the intel and the actual invasion of Iraq was such that anyone could have walked the WMDs out of the country. That said, lets go to the undeniable reason that we were justified in attacking Iraq. Iraq violated the NO FLY ZONE consistently, daring us to do something about it. That violation warranted/justified the attack on Iraq.

It's real easy to blame Bush for not leaving Iraq, but the point has been proven that Obama DID leave Iraq way too early.

You talk about thousands of military lives taken? Did those military members get drafted? Or did they volunteer? Military members do not go into the service expecting never to have to go to war. They train for war. They are patriotic. Do not demean them by telling them that they fought for nothing. It was bad enough that liberals did that to us during Vietnam. Do not do it again. In Vietnam we lost near 60,000 lives and then another 50,000 by suicide afterward. People like you were a contributing factor to the suicides, I'm sure. How many million were killed in the World Wars? The battle of Gettysburg resulted in 50,000 Americans killed in that one battle. I am not demeaning the deaths in Iraq. Far be it that I would dishonor them. And you shouldn't either. They deserve ALL of our support and respect.

So, when you get done throwing stones at Bush, take a good look at your president right now. Terrorists attacks and what is he doing? Doing the wave at a CUBAN ball game, and then doing the Salsa in Argentina. Heaven help him if he was to break his trend and do his job.

Hillary says she plans to continue Obama's agenda. Just what we need, four more years like the last seven failed years.

Yes, and he also was against raising the debt ceiling.

Oh,

And he was against election year appointments.

And

He was against gay marriage

I've seen women (no PC here) that have changed their minds less when rearranging furniture.

And which president was responsible for the U.S. entering the Vietnam War? Oh yeah, a Democrat named President LB Johnson. Almost 60,000 American troops died there. Do we hold that against him? Not anyone that I know of. But, the left is sure adamant about it being another war that we shouldn't have been involved in. And yet, they leave his name out of it. Go figure.

And now, back to our feature program and thread.............

Iraq's nuclear program was a couple of centrifuges in a backyard. Did Iraq use gas on US citizens...nope. And the reason we went into Iraq was because Cheney was ****ed Saddam outwitted him when Cheney allowed them to use helicopters in that region.

I deplore the Republican's use our troops as Cannon Fodder in wars that have no impact on the US.

1st Gulf
2nd Gulf ( Iraq did not arrack us)

Obama left Iraq to early...perhaps you missed the part that Iraq told the US to leave.

U.S. Troops Are Leaving Because Iraq Doesn't Want Them There - The Atlantic

Obama was on a diplomatic trip which included a baseball game...was the United States attacked during the game?
As for him dancing the only thing I can say is he dances better than GWB.

Is there a point buried somewhere in this catharsis?

Actually sadly it was Kennedy he signed the orders just before he left for Dallas.

The question was, Why was it called Johnson's War?

The fact that both were democrats does not matter.

Were all those demonstrators in the 60's the sons and daughters of angry republicans?

This isn't a ball game or Chevy is better than Ford. It's not always about the party. Who is the party of slavery and the KKK? You don't get any points for either question. It's about understanding how we got to where we are and how we can give our children a better chance in life.

Isn't that what old age teaches us?

We got here by corruption. The D and R parties got us here. Voting them out is our only hope.

Many of us don't learn, it seems 4 years makes us forget...

You don't know anybody that faulted LBJ for his Viet Nam agenda? You must lead a lonely life.
