I honestly prefer to discuss real issues and policies and not get into the demeaning stuff but using this thread simply to make a point that bothers me about this tweeting thing as President.

If you look at the thread titled...."Trump pulls off another deal" it is apparent that the tweet was not even close to covering all that is involved for our country. And with no chance to ask questions by those dirty rotten media, all we know is what Trump decides to tell us in limited amount of characters.

I want to know what is going on in my country. This not a criticism of Trump but since we have a thread on the use of Twitter, I simply thought I might add my two cents worth,

I cannot imagine anyone being satisfied with a few characters on the country's business

I would love to have our President answer questions, as with today's announcement on Japan company...where are the jobs, what conditions on it happening, what is the time frame, is this all contingent on the President insuring the merger, etc.

There is an implication (in my opinion) in your post that the current media handling of what you should/need to know.

The Obama administration and the cozy relationship with the media has allowed Obama to do far, FAR too much without being questioned.

I do not use social media of any kind.

I understand media bias... I truely do. It has never ever gotten between me and what is true, facts is most posters on here do not even know what or who the media is. Reference to many shows as media is actually funny. They don't even advertise as news.

I made a case that Trumps tweet today on Japan news was not even close to sufficient. There is so much more to that story and we deserve to hear the story. I had no trouble coming up with a lot of background. I will not accept one man using a very restrictive form of communications to talk to my country. No way..ever

I must add. Based on the tweets coming out of this administration...see Flynn's comments which were totally false, inflammatory and many other words...along with some of Trumps...maybe...maybe..just a suggestion.

Trump has made mainstream media obsolete . More people communicate via social media (I am not one of them hate it)
the media are mad as hell because he has proven he doesn't need them. Trump also has the ability to either silence his critics or have them submit to him. I again don't like this approach but then that is what powerful people do

Third, poster keep jibbering about his fortune but remember most if not all Washington politician either have money or if not when they do leave Washington they do so quite wealthy. How many of those wealthy politicians had conflicts of interest ignored never reported or not known?
