Our pet Troll has had his little bit of attention. This is a bait post, not to be taken seriously. Time to move on. Everyone knows that liberals don't care about voter fraud, so that should have been a sign at the onset.

Only a Troll would make up a fictitious thread to get attention. And then, when no one responds, he replies to himself....more than once. Then deny having been on here before and expect everyone to believe that. I may be old, but I know a troll when it sounds off from his mother's basement.

I'm leaving to go vote down at Laurel Manor. I'll let you all know if I run into any confused Canadians. I haven't met one yet, so I'll certainly look around. I will probably only run into a bunch of Republican voters, because Democrats have not been turning out this year to vote. Can't really blame them. All they have to choose from is a criminal and a commie. The two "C's." My wife voted earlier today and said there was a line.

I will accept that the Trump supporter ignorantly informed the Canadian of the possibility that he could vote with just a Villages ID and a signature. And as some Guest earlier pointed out, even an attempt to vote would not have succeeded. However the rest of the story does contain a very clear violation of Florida law.
It is a violation to solicit within 100 feet of the doorway to a polling location. There should have been signs placed indicating the boundary beyond which solicitation would be legal. If, as alleged, a Trump supporter was manning the door while soliciting votes, that is illegal. Certainly a person can help with the door but not with the purpose of representing the campaign or attempting to influence voters. No person, political committee, or other group or organization may solicit voters inside the polling place or within 100 feet of the entrance to any polling place, a polling room where the polling place is also a polling room, an early voting site, or an office of the supervisor of elections where absentee ballots are requested and printed on demand for the convenience of electors who appear in person to request them. Before the opening of the polling place or early voting site, the clerk or supervisor shall designate the no-solicitation zone and mark the boundaries. |
Also a bit off topic and also from the chit-chat lounge:
"Has anyone else seen a black panther??? Omg seen one sitting on my villa wall!! Green eyes big black tail!!! I know the difference from a cat and this" Last time I saw one was 2008 outside a polling place intimidating little old ladies. |

My mother died many years ago and I moved out of her house long before that. I now have 2 mortgage free homes because everyone needs a summer home to escape the heat here. |

SO, I just returned from early voting and I have a short story to tell you. This is a True one though. When I was leaving, a couple of campaigners in the parking lot were joking around with me, because I had my military cap on :super:. They asked me if I voted twice. And yes, they were laughing. They enjoyed my response that "Of course not, I am not a Democrat." They laughed. So, I doubt they were serious about voting twice. A sense of humor is something that seems in short supply when it comes to liberals. |

The perpetrators were a total of one event.
Wow! They musta got scared off with the attention. |
I went to vote as well today but whoever advised the Canadian he could vote with just his Villages ID was totally wrong.
You have to have a signature id as well which they compare to your signature on file. |

A: Easy. Watch a man drowning fifty feet offshore. The conservative will throw out 25 feet of rope and shout "swim for it!" The liberal will toss out 50 feet of rope, drop his own end, and go off to do another good deed. |

You means like the black panthers do for which party?? I can't remember? O what party was that??? The one that controls well every every branch of government including justice department. |

You can tell a Trump supporter by that dumbfounded look on their faces. |

I told him the ID might be a valid ID for voting he would NOT be able to vote in Florida because he was not registered to vote. Try again.... |

Whether during early voting or on Election Day, you will be asked to provide at the polls a valid photo ID with signature. Any one of the following photo IDs will be accepted: Florida driver’s license Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles United States passport Debit or credit card Military identification Student identification Retirement center identification Neighborhood association identification Public assistance identification. If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be asked to provide another ID that has your signature. |
I believe the problem is not so much as the ID issue as the OP's indignant rant about a "friend" that was supposedly told that he/she could vote, even though he/she was a Canadian. Since there is rampant voter fraud by the left, some sort of response was apparently needed to save face for the very unethical, immoral Democrat party. Someone was obviously joking and the indignant leftie was offended. Like I have said many times, humor is lost on liberals.

But you are really not worth my time! |
This is a copy of text sent via email to me regarding early voting:
You may know that there is an "Early Voting" centre at the Mulberry Grove Rec. Centre. When I was going into the gym, I was accosted by some Trump supporters who asked me if I was going in to vote. When I said " I am Canadian and can't vote because I am not a citizen", the guy asked," Do you have a Villages ID that shows you own a house in TV? When I said "Yes", he said that's all I need - photo Villages ID and my signature seem to all I need to vote. That can't be right. I am NOT lying....... |

I find it amusing that this thread hints at REPUBLICAN voter fraud. Let's face it, it is the DEMOCRATS that receive 99.98% of votes from dead people, 99.98% of the votes from illegal aliens, and 99.98% of the votes from those who voted multiple times, and gain from the 99.98% of the votes blocked by black panther intimidation at polls. If it gets any worse, just declare the USA a banana republic. |

Your friend could have been told she could vote, but once you get in the door and have to show your photo ID, drivers license, check to see if your a registered voter, then it might have a been real embarrassing scenario for your friend.

This is just an example of the direction this country is headed. Anything Goes. We need to stop the mail in votes, absentee votes, and all the other subsiderary voting and make people go to the voting booth to vote. And by the way if your not 18 you can't vote. Where do these new rules come from, I know I didn't vote yes that 17 year olds can vote, nor for any of the other new rules for voting. The people of this country should have more imput besides their elected officials on what happens in this new world of ours, or is this politicly incorrect to do.
|
if this thread had anymore tangents it would be a double octopus.
|
I am definitely in favor of having 17 year old kids vote in the primary if they will be 18 for the general election.
The young voters have an open mind on issues and candidates. On the other hand, the old timers of 85 and above should not be able to vote anymore. Most of their minds have turned into mush and they are riddled with dementia. The country would be a lot better off in these were purged from voter rolls. |
