of course there will be an investigation...more political thuggery from this administration when they are threatened. gov walker has saved the state millions just by changing the union-bought health insurance company which covered all the state teachers... he has managed to balance the budget and REDUCE property taxes...you never hear of his accomplishments on liberal media...it is the corrupt unions calling the kettle black.

I liked the Ann Coulter column in the Villages Daily Sun today about the Wisconsin recall election. It did go over Walker's successes in Wisconsin.

Now, it is just possible that one of the posters did a little misreading on her part when stating that Scott Walker balanced the state budget. He diverted money from one source to another to make it look like the budget was being balanced - but the money was supposed to go to help troubled homeowners.

OOps, Looks like Scotty got caught with his sticky fingers in the cookie jar!

It is interesting to see how union membership in Wisconsin has fallen now that employees have the option of paying their dues rather than having it forcibly removed from their paychecks. It doesn't seem that unions are as popular as they would have you believe.

It seems he did a lot more than just divert 30 million of the 140 millions dollars earmarked for foreclosure relief in order to ostensibly balance the budget. He also made very major cuts to state spending. There's much more in the Milwaukee Journal than in story posted in the ultra left liberal political site you chose to link.

Yes, it does seem he did a lot more in his blanancing the state budget. He mDemocrats also criticized the budget for making deep cuts to schools and cutting tax credits for the working poor while lowering taxes for corporations. deep cuts to education. Anyhow, read what you linked andyou will see that there are some good items but also very poor decisions made by Scott Walker.

Poor or potentially unpopular? You can't be a coward and a strong administrator. He's got the state finances under control without raising taxes, and the unemployment rate is less than 7%.

IF this country is to survive, you better get ready for this type of thing NATIONWIDE. It is the only recourse.

Economists keep warning us and when it happens this state is already working where the rest of us NEED to go.

You are saying if this country is to survive we need to cut spending for education, eliminate tax breaks for poor working families, and to lower taxes to corporations? :22yikes:

The latest polls have the governor's race within the margin of error. Both sides have their recount attorneys in place. It could be a long time until we know the outcome, think Al Franken in MN. Scott Walker has outspent Tom Barrett by 8/1 with most of the money coming from outside the state (ie Koch brothers).

Wisconsin poll is really close.

Walker's lead in Wisconsin recall election tightens in new poll - ABC News

It does sound like the Republican plan to save Wisconsin as well as the US is to invest our future in international corporations' welfare. Lower taxes on these, cut down union rights for their workers, open up natural resources for the development of large corporation use, cut educational funding for the public sector, etc. So, the rich can get richer and the poor will just have to suffer through it.

hence the worst is society will be no different than it has been for the last 60 years!!!!

No matter who is in office or running for office there will always be those who have it, those who don't have it and of course the new and growing entitlement groups.......my favorite? Unemployment. People have been collecting for almost three years and there is NO DOUBT it will be extended again (gotta protect that voting block....again).

I am curious....did the rich stop getting richer while Obama is in office? Of course we all know they got richer like they always do......oops not supposed to talk about that though....eh?

Let us hope that sanity, civility and unity return Wisconsin to being the Grand Ole Badger state I was born in.
2/3 of the money Scott Walker raised came from out-of-state. He is outspending Barret 7 to 1. Pretty clear he is part of a vast right wing campaign to break labor unions nation-wide.

Bill Clinton showed up, as he always has. Although I may disagree with some of his stands, he is a leader. Obama has not shown up even though he was in Illinois and then Minnesota. Why? Because he is afraid to chance losing. He will be there to take credit should the recall prevail, but will not show up if the recall fails. He is most certainly NOT a leader. When the going gets tough he gets going as far away as he can.

Obama prefers to lead from behind....a wall, a scape goat, a phrase, an ex-president, Congress ATM machines, Mars, the sun, an admiral, an attorney general. Geezzz this guy is going to run out of hiding places soon...What you say he already did. Hmmmmm
